Oh yes, better by far, much more my sort of place, somewhat less pretentious ;) Wonderful gardens too, you'd need a couple of decent gardeners to keep that lot looking like that.

My first thought was upon seeing the picture of the stables was that they could have at least swept up the shavings on the floor.

right i could live in that house obiously who couldnt, however who needs more baths then bed? really.

and 27 aches doesnt seem like alot for that much money. i know 27 aches is alot but its not alot for that much. id expect 100 plus.

pluss if i had that much money i would want somewhere that looked english.

tbh tho if someone gave me it i wouldnt say no obviously..:D

I don't like either place tbh. Well, the second one's nice to look at, but I wouldn't want to own it. Far too much for one person!

Give me a small yard, a few acres and a decent house, with a sea view, a sand paddock, indoor riding area and access to decent hacks. That'd be my lottery win spent.

Not going to happen though, especially as I've never, ever bought a lottery ticket in my life.

i wouldnt say no to being given it either, id just sell it straight away and buy something nice with the money instead....

True. I'd use the cash to buy (as per previous post) my dream home. And have lots left over for charities and projects I support.

sidesaddlegirl you are wonderful thanks for the link you blew my website up when you posted that message.

LOL, it wasn't just me- you have to thank the lady who originally posted it on the Chronicle of the Horse forum too- there was some ooing and awing there too :D

I don't care what you all say- I'm still buying that house when my numbers come up!!! New money, old money- who cares as long as you ain't poor!

I don't like the US one at all, very kitch! Nothing original in it at all! I would much prefer a modern structure.

The UK one on the other hand is wonderful, full of character!
