Wowsers - up to an inch of rain and winds up to 80 mph, crossing from west to east!

Normally turn mine out in any weather, and ride in all elements, but even I am debating a pajama day for the horses, and myself.....

Batten down the hatches!

I have a lesson at six pm, forecast on Metcheck says winds of 29mph but no rain at that point so I'm hoping it won't be too bad. May need to buy my softly spoken instructor a megaphone though...

The yard where i work is on top of a hill...... Think i may get blown down it tomorrow!! Its always really windy there too :(

Dnt think the horses will be going out somehow = more work for meeee! Joy! :(

Same! It's always twice as windy where I work than anywhere else!

It's going to be wet and windy here tomorrow too! Looks like I'm going to get soaked again! :(

i fell off today and landed on my head.....what a GREAT excuse not to work tomorrow!!!!!

I am going to view a horse tomorrow. Should be fun! It's an unbacked 3yo so at least I won't be riding him. Can't put it off as owner is giving me first option despite having lots of phone calls! Wellies and waterproofs in car! :D

It's not too bad a forecast here (Coventry) tomorrow, so I shall turn out as normal, if possible. And ride if possible. But I won't ride if it's really windy. I don't mind rain (have waterproofs and Rambo chaps and nice warm muckboots) but the wind is too dangerous on a spooky, sharp WB.

I went out on Monday, when it lashed all day. The YO's farrier was there and gave me a funny look and said "you're not going out in this?!" I replied "Well, if you didn't do anything in England because it's raining, you'd never do anything"!!

I turned out on Monday too at 7am. I got a text at 9 from YO, saying "shall I bring Tee in? He's stood at the gate as miserable as sin". Bloody big puff. Wearing a Weatherbeeta Taka that cost me the best part of 200 quid and covers him from head to tail and he's standing at the gate!

I'm a bit confused...Met Office are saying light rain, 29mph winds, 10 degs. BBC 80 mph gayle force winds, heavy rain and 8 degs... Just going to have to see what it's like in the morning but if the BBC are right, mine will be staying in!!!

I moved mine into the knee deep grass I had been saving until later in the winter after they ran around like loons on Monday and I had to bring them in at 12 - oddly now they are happy to be out from 7am until 4pm and come in quiet as lambs ;) I will however see how it is in the morning as our fields are very exposed and if it is very wet and windy they may stay in for the day.
