Well…the one I have currently bonded with measures in as a full-up 12.2hh so I can definitely beat you on the height front!
When my last ‘heart horse’ retired, I spent several years riding just because I felt I should. It wasn’t until I sat on this naughty little pony who was being too cheeky for my son, that something clicked into place again. She is tiny, but she’s not going anywhere, ever. She gives me a reason to go out and enjoy life, that is far more valuable than competitive ambitions.
I have had projects I adored, and the yearlings will be hard to sell when the time comes, but a true heart horse never leaves. Maybe this isn’t really the perfect one for you, just a much adored friend?
