As many of you already know I love the Cleveland Bay, but my other rare breed is the Shagya Arab (90% Arabian).
The first foal we bred in France is now 5 years old, not sufficiently 'made' at 4 to jump, he has competed in endurance this year and then had some jumping lessons with a visiting BHS instructor.
I don't have any 'proper' jumps just a couple of home made ones. This week he went to Laurent le Mat for a jumping lesson with proper coloured jumps. Laurent was surprised at this enthusiasm - apparently most young horses take do not like the blue euro fence.
Objective was for him to jump a course of jumps 80cm high.
And here is the other love of my life who is NOT an Arabian.
