Shambles at Pony European Championships

How upsetting for them.

I do think the article is disingenuous implying that JLC was 'favouring' the british riders when it also mentions that she was consistently higher across most riders. Unless they provide a full breakdown of all scores for all nationalities, to prove their point, that is simply lazy, sensationalist journalism.

Totally agree with you, SpottedCat. If she was highly marking most of the riders, it doesn't sound like a nationalistic bias. It also implies that she was giving the British team an advantage, but if she was equally high marking to the other team members then that wouldn't be so.

Horrible for the kids but did the team management not notice the discrepancy? when I was working with teams we always had somebody assigned to religiously keep records of scores times etc and video/photograph results as they flashed up on screens so that any discrepancies could be queried

Enlighten me please, what has happened? :)
They miscalculated the scores, had the British team joint bronze on the podium, then corrected the scores so the girls had to give their medals back.
The dressage and warm up arenas sound shocking. If you scroll through the pictures at the bottom of this article you can see the seating for the dressage arena
