I try to read training articles when I can, but I often struggle to find good, insightful ones in any discipline (though I prefer to read dressage-focused ones!).

It's partly because I'm not searching for anything specific in terms of answers, but just looking to broaden my knowledge and partly because I'm never really sure where the best sources are.

I know we have a few people here who make a real effort to read these things so if anyone has favourite articles or ones they thought made a great point or argument, I would love for them to be shared. Regardless of discipline, of course! I think it would be a great resource for a lot of HHOers and make for some interesting reading :)

Oh I've come across loads recently,I will go and have a dig about :p

The one that really affected me is now only available as a cached page as they've updated their website and it's gone!

Hope link works... I've directed a few people to this in the past and it's helped them like it helped me ;) Not about training the horse, but about mindset, or the mental side of riding & training.

and I really enjoyed riding these exercises the first time I tried them... in fact I might have a go with Salty as she's at the start of her career.

That last article is fascinating MP, I'm going to give that a go with N as he really finds it hard to relax and my timing isn't good, but it all makes sense (while I'm sitting on the sofa that is :D )

When you get into it, i found that it really helped the horse and me tune into each other, got quite zen :o so simple but kind of hypnotic.

Sorry, not much to offer but I am just bookmarking this thread so I can find it again! I really like Mary Wanless's stuff but I don't know if she has many articles rather than books.
