Can anyone suggest a sheepskin numnah/saddle cloth for a very high withered horse? My new TB has huuuge withers and is a little sensitive in is back when tacking up so would like him to have a something sheepskin on under his saddle. Looking at various options online but some don't look very well cut in the pics - like the look of the Le Mieux (sp?) and the Stephens ones but unsure if they will fit.

It's quite a lot of money to spend so I want to get something that will suite first time!

Thanks!

I have a Nuumed HiWither Half Wool Numnah and its allows for such big withers it doesn't fit my horse

Yep we had a gorgeous nuumed one with sheepskin til it got stolen when we were burgled. cant afford to replace it but it was super for my tb.

Definately nuumed. They are normally wool woven on to a cotton backing so last longer than sheepskin. sheepskin falls apart with constant washing because it is literally sheep skin i.e. leather.

I got a gorgeous one for xmas but I haven't been able to use it as I'm having a saddle made to measure and saddle fitter said they can only be used if the saddle is slightly too big

Ditto the Nuumed, but if you are on a budget I actually really rate the Roma sheepskin range (can't believe I just said that!

I will *only* use hi-whither designs on my horses, whether or not they actually have high withers, so the Griffins/Nuumeds were getting quite expensive as a collection!
