They are all so very beautiful, you are extremely lucky:)

Hi, EKW, they are lovely. Out of interest, not trying to start a "too big etc...." argument, what size is the rider on Pips?

Thanks. I ask because I get on my Shettie cross couple of times a month and I'm about the same size. She enjoys being ridden, makes a change from driving but find it's good practice for the core muscles as I feel so unbalanced on her.

BlackShadow, you've just missed Reading's annual sale (today) but the catalogue's worth a look as there's some really nice ones.

Here are mine :)

Elspeth, 33ins reg mini Shettie :)

Another one of Elspeth :)

Maud :) She is only a part bred, she is 35 ins, Shetland x miniature horse :) Her baby has a sec A father ( not my idea to breed that combination, she was in foal when I got her ).

Our lil shettie Gilda ... all washed and dressed and ready for her big debut as my daughter's 3rd Birthday present!

Gilda quite at home, if a little small, in her luxury stable!

She's a Blenheim pony and as good as gold. Only 6 yrs old but an absolute saint on all fronts. Couldn't have asked for more. My daughter rides her and I drive her. She has a home for life with us.

I was at the Reading sales today. The market really is poor unless they are something very special. Colt foals going for less than their registration fees. However, a lovely Kerswell stallion sold for 2065 guineas!

It entirely depends. As I say, you had colts fetching 60 or so guineas. Fillies of average breeding not much over 100. Lots not selling due to not reaching reserves. Only a small quantity reached over 300 and sold for that. Apparently in Carlisle sales, they were going for little over 30 guineas...

That's so sad, I looked up last year's prices and they looked o.k. Did you buy anything?
