Just wondered if anyone had any experience of the Shires turnout rugs? Do they last? How do they come up size wise? I'm looking at the Typhoon Combo....

They are quite nice rugs, seem to fit reasonably well but the 2 horses on the yard that wear them can't seem to get them to stay in place! They seem to flap around quite a lot

I found that one I had was too short - lengthways, ie more of a 6' than a 6'3". Otherwise, it was fine. I have a Highlander combo that I'm very happy with.

I bought one last year and tried it on my Cob but couldnt get the neck fastening bit halfway round his neck at all. Fits my other horse but only just. Its only the neck bit that I find a problem.

Good size and keep the horse nice and dry - I had a Tempest rainsheet on Dylan in the summer (unfortunately he is a one-horse demolition spree and ripped the chest straps off in a week and a half ... but that's just him lol)

Shires rugs always fit mine really well and last for years and years. I really rate them and Weatherbeetas as good quality rugs for fair prices!

I have Shires Highlanders for both my cobs and love them - fit well and are light to put on even though a thick rug. Also dry quite quickly and excellent value for money.

Great rugs, fit mine well, they last well, don't move or leak, and good prices too.

Ooooh I hope they're good rugs as I've just bought one at YHL.....bargain price!

I said to the lady my horse was a 6'6" in a Fal and Mark Todd and 6'9" in an Amigo, she advised on a 6'9"
