I am planning on getting a thermatex rug, the original one, and I'm confused about the difference between single and double binding - has anyone got any pics? I'm assuming the single binding will look like the pic on the website

would quite like to see an example of the double binding, before I decide just how smart I am going to go!!!

It just means two lines of colour around the edge, usually contrasting for obvious reasons.

Whats the price difference?

Tbh, thermatex's are already smart without needing the double binding :)
 
whereas I got double binding on my rug and it's much lovelier than the single bound one I have ;)

My rug is dark green, I had white and dark green binding.
 
Thank you everyone. Hmm, decisions, decisions :) It is £14.50 for the double binding, which given the cost of the rug is not so much. Though they ARE probably smart enough anyway with just single :D . It is strange, the designer label in most of my clothes is 'Tu' or 'George' but now I have a horse of my own I am hankering after the finer things for him. Given the trouble I am having in deciding on a rug colour (burgundy or mallard are currently top of the list), it may well end up being single binding, just for simplicity!!!
 
Are you going for the original or T2000?

I did the same when i first got my boy and saved up for this rug, however it was soooooo nice, i think i let him wear it once or twice! (hubby constantly reminds me of this!) its spent most of its time in my loft.

edited - i even splashed out on the matching tail wrap for traveling

They are nice, but I do use mine as an everyday cooler/stable rug in winter. The poo stains do come out :D It was too expensive to sit in a box!
 
I was going for the original Flyermc, though now you have pointed out the T2000 with the double binding as standard and including a fillet string......

I'm blaming my friend, saw hers and thought 'oooh, that's nice'. And hers is many years old. So I am hoping it will last well even if I let him wear it :D
 
I've got both an original single bound and a t2000 double bound, think I actually prefer the single binding but the tighter knit of the t2000.

I brought the original brand new off of eBay for £70 (very lucky on that one!) and the t2000 used but with just one small snag on the inside that can't be seen for £50:D ... so moral of the story check eBay first ;)
