Well Im all for a bit of bling but going to BSJA shows damages my eyes! Also what is the craze with velvet saddlecloths and dead fluffy animals under the saddle?
I promise i do not own one item that could be considered 'bling'. And as for sheepskin - i don't think eventers can really pin all that on show jumpers. They go through a hellova lot of sheep themselves
Lol. this actually made me laugh, a bit like this:
Heh.
I think this is a topic asking for a fight..? Lol.
Although, seen as I am a member of BSJA, and BE, I do much prefer Eventing, because I'm an Adrenalin Junkie, and couldn't possibly live without XC!
Although we do go to Blewbury BSJA every month in winter, and it is rather hellish! It is a good oppurtunity to get them out in winter
(When SC said was it her coat, was that in a "get your coat you've pulled" kind of way, as I don't think she's that kind of girl, no matter what assumptions you've made from the photos.
Yup definitely. Us Eventers lurve showjumping, that's why we all go out practising it all winter (thereby making sure you pure SJers don't get all the money!)

oh and judging by that photo i saw i didn't think you owned a coat

Ahem, I have coats aplenty thankyou - I refer you to Baydale's answer, I am not that kind of girl! I have merely been ruthlessly exploited by someone whom I was grooming for and not even being paid for it (the grooming or the pics, lets face it, cash is cash).

I agree with that bit. Just recently i read someone's report where they either won or came 2nd at an event... and won feed vouchers
I'd be bloody livid if i won a class and didn't get cash.

That was me - in Eventing you're just happy to complete in one piece so you're grateful for anything they hand out.
(In fairness the vouchers do amount to about £70 worth of feed so still useful - it's when they give you a dandy brush you get a little bit peeved......!
