Our stable cat likes to think that he's a horse :D :p

One of the rare occasions that he is sat still :D

He's technically called Perry, but for some reason we've nicknamed him Poos :p

Some gorgeous cats on here!

Let me introduce Monty, 7yr old tabby. He is so playful and the most affectionate cat I know. He also sits and give a paw on command ;)

I love this thread, so many lovely kitties :D

My two hiding out on bonfire night in a special 'cat room' full of catnip, beds and biscuits :)

They are both very camera shy for some reason, seem to think looking into a propper lens is like looking into the face of the devil... so despite many efforts i have no nice photos of them :(

Felix is the tabby and Whiskas is the grey/white. They are brothers, polar opposites, from the CPL 11 years ago. Felix has kidney failure and although quite well in himself on his meds... he is probably not going to be around for long. It breaks my heart, he is my little baby, follows me everywhere.

Whiskas is a little evil, but also adorable, which has saved me kicking him out many a time when he's been meowing his head off at 4am!
The face of evil:

Life without kitties.... can't imagine it and don't want to!

My darling Jazz.

I lost him for five weeks last year when he climbed into a van and got taken across town. It was the best day of my life when the Cat Action trust in my town brought him home for me. I looked for him every day.

Going back to look at rest of thread now - gorgeous kitties - nearly as many cat lovers as horse lovers by the looks of things!x

My two are brother and sister, but nothing alike! Their Mum was a farm cat but the Dad was unknown, we're assuming he was ginger because Mum was tabby and white, no ginger, yet she had two ginger babies, two tabbies, a black and white and a black.

Did you realise that they can all have different fathers even though they are in the same litter - their mother was a tramp :D

These are/were mine. We only have 2 left now, the 2 (related) tabbies had heart murmurs and died of heart attack and stroke. The ginger kitten was run over by my idiot neighbours :(

Fred, Barney, Max, Ruffie and Maggie.

This is a recent pic of Max....

He's a bit boss-eyed because he took a knock from a car as a kitten (he was feral and tried to escape a lot! And succeeded one night :()

And Barney, my hypochondriac cat that makes up reasons to visit the vet. I swear he finds things to injure himself on, has thrown himself in front of cars twice (broken jaw one time, traumatic cystitis the next), went into shock for absolutely no reason at all and to this day - despite £400 bill - the vets still can't tell me what was wrong with him. But, I LOVE this cat to bits and will be devastated to lose him eventually. As will my girls. He is a best buddy cat and worth his weight in gold.....

I have to admit I am completely and utterly obsessed with cats! I was brought up with 5 all my life and was pretty convinced I was one! ha! I still have 5 now (though all from another generation) and I wouldn't be surprised if I eventually get labelled the crazy cat lady :D Out of all my 5 I am particularly obsessed with my ginger cat, Marley or Ratty or all the other silly names I call him, I've even got songs and 'raps' I sing regularly haha! The OH thinks it's unhealthy especially when Marley sleeps under the covers with me and I cuddle him like a toy :p

And being so cat obsessed I also have the best job known to man kind where I look after 34 cats! It is my idea of heaven, surrounded by cats 24/7 :D

Fergie as a kitten. He was a farm cat so very scrawny. He is now the biggest, shiniest thug you will ever meet!
086.jpg

This is Magic (the black one) who is a rescue from CPL. We got her at 5 weeks and she was so tiny she could sit in the palm of your hand. She is a wuss and quite shy but very affectionate. She is with Busby, half Maine **** who sadly went missing a few years ago. He was so beautiful, such a character and I still miss him.
DSC00727.jpg

Here is Moushka when pregnant and with some of her kittens. We kept one of the black and white ones, Alfie, who is nearly as big as fully grown Fergie despite only being 9 months old! He is a gorgeous very affectionate cat. Unfortunately Moushka also went missing about 5 months ago and I still cry over it. I called her my parrot cat because she loved sitting on your shoulder, even when she couldn't really fit.

Scrunchie and HurlyBurly - do have a look at my website for the Animal Support Volunteers.

There is a lovely photo there of some of the 11 cats I have at my stables. They would appreciate proper homes with caring owners - although I do my best for them, they miss out on the warmth and comfort of indoor accommodation.

I agree with Leviathan that a new resident never replaces a loved one - but he/she can bring back the warmth and comfort that we miss so much when we have lost our cherished friend.

Everyones cats are so lovely.
Heres my old cat " pusskins ", I'd always had dogs and didn't want a cat, but I didn't get a choice with her, she turned up one day and wouldn't leave. We found her owners who said they didn't want her. A couple of months after she died we took Artemis and Circe from the local pound.

Wow fantastic pics. Both my cats are no longer with us.One went missing, was told she got ran over, but no body ever found. Other ran away to live with a neutered cat but we bought her home, only for her to take off again,Emnirah then followed this cat over the road and got killed. The people who were going to keep her, they were upset and felt aweful. The neighbour buried her in their garden. Heres a pic of EMNIRAH,she was a feral cat when I got her. Died 2 years ago at 6.5 yrs old.

Quigley age 19 half Siamese rules the house with a rod of iron and terrifies the JRT and Springer x Lab. He is the most characterful cat I have ever known, he was born a grumpy old man we have had him all his life and he is still a grumpy old man!
peoplehorses016.jpg

Valentine sadly died last year, rescue cat from RSPCA and a real gentleman.
peoplehorses015.jpg

And finally Matilda, the killer kitten Went to a pet shop to check if they did horse feed, was chatting with owner and a man brought in a box with her in. His dog had killed her littermates and he wanted the pet shop owner to take her but she was reluctant because thekittens she had had all been wormed, deflead and vaccinated. So we took her. The damage to that chair is by Matilda. They did not sell horse feed!

We had a mix of Burmese & moggies over time. The first is an old boy who we adopted from the local cat protection centre - old, arthritic, skin problems, head tilt, deaf in one ear........ No-one wanted him and then when we were looking around he came and sat down on my lap and went to sleep. A very canny cat! Others pics are kittens either we or the breeder have had in the last few years.

There are lovely cats here! There's already been one Giles, and here's another, only a girl - don't ask... She turned up requesting sanctuary (actually I came back from holiday to find her living under my neighbour's wheelbarrow) 8 years ago and I've not been able to shift her since
This is her the weekend she moved in, all bony and pregnant - she is looking pleased here because a huge abscess behind her ear has just burst *vomits* Not so pleased when promptly shipped off to vet's in the morning...

And this is her favourite place in previous house:

And here is her patented bird-hunting technique (actually she's a little devil - tiny, but regularly brings very angry magpies through the catflap, and caught a swift once, God knows how)

Sorry, they are huge and many - but don't have a horse to post pics of :D

My two cats were bought in to work as strays (vets) they are about a yr old . Skinny Millie had a badley broken back leg and Fat Martin was just a bit poorly. They are not related but were put in together as Millie was really stressed in Kennels. They adore each other but did get themselves the nickname of the ASBO cats at work :)

I have two cats a brother and sister they are 10 this year.

Cosmo truely believes she is a human, she sleeps under a cover and wees in the toilet. She also drinks water from a glass and she rather likes cold tea. Her favorite dinner is roast chicken- she hates wet cat food. she refuses to use the cat flap...

Bonzo is her brother. He does think he's a cat... only just! His favorite thing is his earthquake bed (a fleece radiator bed that he was scared of for months and months because it wobbles!) which has to be moved between the kitchen and the landing as he requests it!

This picture is after he attacked my sister's clean bra and then used it as a hammock..
166658_10150386281420038_604430037_17179090_1695834_n.jpg

The entire house revolves around them. Dad even keeps the log burner going for them during the day if the weather is bad (and he wanted them to be outside cats!)

That is the cutest kitten I have ever seen! EVER! May I ask what was wrong with him? Why he was in that state?
FDC

He was rejected by his mother at 4 weeks and it went un-noticed by the negligent breeder! believe it or not this was him (top picture) at 10 weeks weighing 450g (should have been double that). He is pure bred snowshoe and because the breed is relatively new and the breeder was relatively deserving of a slap, he didnt have a very good start. I hand syringed every 2 hours for 3 weeks

He is a carrier for EVERYTHING now, constantly plagued with horrible eye infections, and has yet to do a solid poo (he is 2 now!) He cannot go out for fear of it killing him. I know some may think thats cruel but none of mine have ever gone out anyway so they know no different. He is fed on royal canin sensitivity control which costs me £32 a week to feed the 3 of them (he needs ad lib and I cant bare to shut him away) BUT... and there is a MASSIVE one... I love him with 90% of my heart (the remaining 10 is shared between husband, 2 other cats, pony and family and friends ;) ) I will care for him until the day he dies, I know he wont go on forever like regular cats but having hand reared him, he thinks i am mumma and he will never want for anything, I make him as comfortable as possible and he is (and acts) a spoilt little brat - and yes I am one of those weird cat women ;)
