Thought it would be nice for everyone to post a pic/write about something they do with their horse that they feel they do well or have made an achievement with- wether its reaching four star eventing, do well in games/jumping scary fences or teaching a problem loader to load! just post about what you've achieved/ can do .

let's be happy =D

The pony i excerise is lovely and enjoys going to shows, he is a little AAHH! at spooky jumps at shows sometimes () compared to in the arena at the yard where he jumps anything, but he's only refused twice at a show with me before and in the next class he cleared the jump twice (in first round and JO) without a refusal..he also does medium level dressage with his owner, and i do prelim/novice :) i have some piccies of him doing WH today i haven't uploaded them yet though :)

Haven't had my boy long enough to get out and do much with him. We're hoping to do some dressage but it'll be a wee while before we're doing much in terms of competing. So just now, we're doing a swell job of having fun with our mates, playing about in the fields, getting fit

I do Eventing and Showjumping and a bit of showing with my boys. Would love to show pics but still working out how lol. What do you do?? x

hope you figure out pics!
i'm quite proud that ive schooled and brought on my first pony by myself from a 4/5yr old (still unsure) made her bombproof hacking, got her to load after 2 years ! taught her to jump (eventually) and now shes winning at jumping :)
and also im quite happy she is a pretty colour ;)

I would like to think Charlie and I excel at having fun together, we are happy hackers but also like schooling, jumping, the occasional fun ride and recently we went XC schooling.

We have had our ups and downs over the years, last year was particularly hard, a few months ago I thought I was going to have to retire him but now he is better then he's ever been and I love every minute I'm with him!

I have had him for nearly 7 years, he is now 15 and last week was the first time I felt brave enough to take him XC schooling, I loved it :D

Here are just a few piccys of us together (first one is from XC schooling, others are at home)......

What a great thread jumpinghorse. I look forward to reading lots of inspirational replies.

Solo hacking for us.

It may not sound like an amazing thing to do but this horse was bought as a horse that will not hack alone and this proved to be true. He was a dangerous compulsive bolter-home if attempted to hack alone.

6 months of careful work and he is the best off roader and long distance lone hacker. I love him for it!

This is me and my mare, she is an ex racer, and this is her first competition. I didn't think she would jump, it was her first outing in a trailer since her last race, so she was extremly on her toes, in the warm up, she got unsettled with all the other horses coming up behind her, and she wouldn't jump the practice jump. When we went in the ring she swiched on and jumped a clear round, she got a bit strong in the jump off and we had a pole down and came in third, i was more than happy, i didn't think she would jump at all. well done tinkerbel

Havn't got a horse now but when I did I enjoyed hacking and just hanging out with my girl.

Proud of myself now for going back to having lessons again and want to push my comfort levels by starting to jump again which I've always been a bit nervous of TBH!!

I have also been backing my youngster lily, she been lame for 4 weeks, and i brought her back to work yesterday, she has finaly stopped throwing me off lol. This her first time undersaddle.

i havent really competed my pony much but i took him to his first show the other day and we did a best turned out and came second cos horsecrazy25 won! and he just loves to jump so hoping to do some showjumping and xc but dressage isnt really his style lol and he oves going to pc too :P dont know how o put pics on:(

I like to think i have achieved a whole lot with my TB. Bought her last year as a just turned 4yr old, skinny and caked in rainscaled, ewe necked, went round like a giraffe everywhere and very green having never been in a school, resisting the contact basically a very rough diamond. One thing she has always had though is a very quiet, sweet nature and solid as a rock in traffic and very un-TB!
Have persevered with her and we are coming on leaps and bounds, shes a different horse!
She jumps amazingly well, getting brave XC and going beautifully on the flat. Still have alot of work to do but its coming together :)

Here she is as a *just* 3 yr old last July - (i was told she was 6!! untill i traced her through her microchip)

wow, what beautiful countryside you have to hack around. I am very jealous! :) x

cobface, she looks amazing, 5yrs ago i bought a tb gelding who, i was told 10, he was skin and bone and just wouldnt put any weight on, got the vet out and found, he was 20 yrs plus and had arthirits in his knees, we had two very happy yrs together, but unfortunaly he had to be pts because of his problems.

My first horse, Merlin, I got 3 years ago and together we have made it to 1* eventing, and he has been the best ever :D I love him to bits :)
Merlin and I won our pony club area open individual showjumping comp last week, meaning we have qualified for the pc champs in england!! :D
Here is my super beastie jumping at an event, 1.15m :)

You love me really :D

Gonna start getting out and doing some showjumping but especially XC before season over x x

Sorry mine will be a bit sad but my horsey, Dougal, was a very successful Dressage stunner with lots of wins and points to his name who I turned into an eventer, even though he had never jumped a XC fence in his life, who would of been amazing, but was taken away from me far too soon. Here is his life and him in action doing all the things he loved :)

He went from this

sorry its a bit sad but thats my boy, thats his story, and he was the BEST horse I have ever owned, and possibly ever will.

dressage is my game :)

current horse is Prophet's Star, a 5yo ex racer who is curently competing elem and schooling towards adv med at home. he's qual novice open regionals and elem are festivals 2010.i hope (and really believe) he will be my Grand Prix horse in the future.

these are from May this year:

but actually the thing Star does best is make me smile, he's the most generous little horse who tries his heart out for me.

quick edit-i DO have permission to use those pro pics :)

Horsecarzy had only had him just over a year and he was incredible. He would of been awesome. he was only just 8 when he died. He loved XC never stopped, jumped the moon SJ always tried Dressage, was 110% in any traffic, loved hacking, loved eating, the only thing, I had to buy him Twiggy to keep him company and he loved her tooo, so much so that when he got stolen out of my field and then got confused after they tired to load him, he tried to take her home and went in the first gravel drive way he got too, but it was down the wrong end of our road, and then panicked in an unknown field on an already damaged leg, from the loading (he only loaded for me) and broke his cannon bone. Very sad day. Very sad mummy who still feels lost without him and very very guilty.

Haven't had my boy long enough to get out and do much with him. We're hoping to do some dressage but it'll be a wee while before we're doing much in terms of competing. So just now, we're doing a swell job of having fun with our mates, playing about in the fields, getting fit

He is GORGEOUS!!

So sorry bay_beasty :(
Everyone else's horses are lovely, but I have to say I'm in love with your boy Prince33Sp4rkle, simply gorgeous and I've just turned into a green-eyed monster :p
Anyway, mine's a 17hh, 12yrs, TBxWB gelding called Red. I've had him a year now and love him to bits, he's my first horse(I have loaned 3 ponies previously) and I wouldn't swap him for the world! :) We do unaffilliated SJ but aim to do some dressage next month so wish me luck :D
