Shy has colic. Panicking.

Hope this works. As you can see, he seems fine this morning - had a snaffle of breakfast and hay, and he's off out in the field now (with muzzle, but rugged !). Just in case it was the new grass that upset him. His poos were smaller and harder - could be the buscapan he had last night.

Again, the support from you guys has been brilliant - thank you !

We haven't had a frost all winter up here - can't believe it tbh. When he has been going out, it's about 7 - 10 degrees, so I think that grass growing may be the problem.

Glad he is feeling better . I am glad nobody has suggested me shivering off the extra weight :) .
When you look around at the Daffodils flowering alongside the snowdrops and crocuses , Mother nture seems a tad confused about what season we are in . Our grass is growing so we are keeping an eye on the neddies .

Hope he's ok. Now would be the time to either worm dose him or at least get worm count done so as to decifer what his worm burden currently is.. Don't discount the fact that another main factor in colic is worms & it's very important to know whether it is a factor or not causing the colic.
I would advise getting the count done and at least you'll know whether he needs dosing now and what you can dose him.

Sorry to hear this, however glad to see that he's recovering well. Sometimes these things just happen & there's nothing u could possibly do to prevent it. Sure he'll be right as rain soon!

Thanks again - spent all afternoon at the yard with him, and he's quiet, but fine. He was wormed last month, but I did ask the vet about it anyway. It was warm enough while I was poo picking for him to go NAKED for the first time this year, but he's got his fleece on tonight.....word has it there is SNOW in the air

So glad he's on the mend - you must be so relieved :).
