How about we say Thurs 20th Jan? The SNEC arena event should be the weekend before that (16th). Or Thurs 27th? If we set a date, we can all provisionally pitch the day off idea to our bosses nice and early...! Figured best to make it towards end of Jan to ensure we miss the school hols. ;)

Will Rowallan definitely be running them on those dates... they're not likely to change it for next year or anything?!

Well email is now away, just depends where he is/what he's up to how quickly I hear back but we're not exactly in a screaming rush yet are we lol!

I MIGHT have a shot at intro next season, though shouty man tells me that B will fall over the SJs and I should stop being soft and wade in at PN - he's a funny man right enough hahaha! I'm thinking intro at Eglinton or Auchinleck, but that's all you're getting from me unless my numbers come up...

The flyingcoo will come out of his winter retirement for this play for sure. That's if you can get passed his feathers which will be looking like something back-combed out of the rocky horror show by January!!

Then again flying coo junior may even come for the ride and he can find out what an indoor school is all about.Can we class trotting poles as clear round jumping?

FlyingCoo I do have a soft spot for 'flying coos'! We're waiting on confirmation that the centre doesn't have anything extraordinary on that day, and curly fries are def a must (oh and a large G&T if you're bringing baby to play lol!)

And what's this 'work' thing that you speak of? Is that not what you do whilst you're browsing HHO?

No confirmed date yet FC, waiting to hear back from Rowallan to confirm they will definitely be running this as it's so far ahead...

Jen- PN at Auchinleck would be fine I'm sure, I eyed it up this year and was wishing I'd stepped up there instead of doing intro. Don't remember there being anything hugely technical. And you've seen Eglinton... so if you can cope with the big hedges...!

Better make that a V large G&T as Baby FC only on week 3 after spending his short life running free and has progressed to his saddle and bridle already and lunging/long reining away like a pro so by January we will be jumping Discovery...LOL

I'm still waiting for them to pull the plug on my tinternet at work as I'm convinced its me on FB & HHF that's crashing the servers!! LOL
 
FJ you're worse than shouty man! I've not even established consistent outline yet, think that PN is a little bit ambitious... Though I'm sure Mr B would love it - every time I've taken him anywhere near the XC fields since the other weekend's exploits he actually tries to take me down to them! Would need to get my drop issue sorted first though, are either of those PN's especially 'droppy'? Oh and some water schooling might be advisable also...

Kez my excellent excuse all winter is that I'll probably be away at a P2P that day. Wouldn't get there anyway, I'm pretty much limited to Rowallan for anything other than BS, and even at that we don't tend to venture far...

FlyingCoo double G&Ts it is then! To hell with Disco, you'll be at Newcomers by Jan!
 
Hmmm... why do I get the feeling that Jen is about to appear and cite "lack of transport" in order to decline Eventer's Challenge and Arena Event invitations through on this side of the country?! ;) It's ok though... there's usually one at Ingliston we can force her to...! :D

HA- told you so! :p Posted at the same time as the excuse! ;)

Jen, Auchinleck had a palisade with drop on landing early on in the course, but not a straight drop off a step IIRC. The water had an alternative so you could jump a skinny then take ramp in --> step out instead of log on top of step in --> step out. Eglinton had the bank with ski jump off (here) and a proper drop off the wall towards the end just before splashing through the stream- you would need some control quite soon after this one! ;)

Ha ha... I'm not sure I like you offering me up as part of deals...! :p How about all three?! :D (that way Jen has to do an intro AND a PN! :D )
 
Kez you've landed yourself a BS membership because I'm pretty much set to do an Intro, the debate now is whether or not to have a run PN instead - maybe if FJ does a Newcomers in preparation for her Novice run next year I'll have a bash at PN. Now where will you choose as your venue for your BN debut?

FJ I'd forgotten about that nasty drop thing before the water at Eglinton - I'd have to trot that or risk ending up in orbit!

MrsMozart glad I amused you, made me chuckle when I saw them and it didn't feel as terrifying as it looked lol!

Kez dead sheep and bling are optional - ignore the fact that in the pics that started this thread showed a large expanse of dead sheep about 2'6" away from my ass and that B was wearing his 'bling' - we don't usually bling it up, honest! And you've got a good teacher in S, she'll make sure you look the part - she's always immaculately turned out without being 'blingy'!
 
Oh God I'm going to have to get my finger out & seriously SJ this winter, I've got so rubbish at it you'd never believe I used to belong to the Dark Side!
 
Right 20th it'll have to be guys, the 27th is right before the small pony premier show and they'll be busy 'dressing' the arena and there'll be folks starting to arrive - we don't need precocious junior riders laughing at us lol!
