I woudl like to say that I wont be logging on to HHO anymore. I cant believe that peoples perception of me is as a bully.

I gave my honest opinion. I am sorry for having the guts to post something that was not fluffy...I al also sorry for being VERY concerned for a fifteen year old girl and her horse.

I used to be a 15 year old girl, who thought I could ride youngsters. I fell of, ripped ligaments from my spine and lost feeling from the neck down for a week. I have PM'ed FMN and told her this and explaied my concern.

I am not explaining myself, but I have had not a single PM from admin or any other member calling me a bully, so if you think it, maybe PMing me or admin would have been a better option rather than discussing me without giving me a chance to defend myself.

Anything that I do say is done with a good heart. If you read my posts, I try to give advice for the benefit of horse and rider. IMO if the opinions were personal, then that woudl be bullying. Not constructive advice on how to improve.

Anyway. Enough defending myself. I am really shocked!

I've stayed out of it because I had nothing new to add, but your concerns seemed valid. IMO you've done nothing wrong, don't go.

I think you are taking this waaay too far. No-one's accused you of being a bully, certainally not me.

In fact, I was the one invited to leave the forum for my views, so if anyone should leave foirst it would be me.
ETS I do think you're over reacting a bit. It's one sure as hell way of getting the post recognised and drumming up support isnt it?? If no-one's omed you then obviously no-one thinks you've done anything wrong. simple.

IMO no, you shouldnt leave. We have all had our say and should drop it there, but then some will drag it on and on......
 
Don't think you should leave. Its hard on here because everyone has an opinion and whatever that may be its always going to offend someone whether thats intentional or not. I've only briefly read the posts involved and have to say I don't think there is bullying going on but some valid points have been made on either side.
I think you should try and just forget about it, if in your heart you are happy with the comments you have made then you have nothing to feel bad about. Hold your head up high and carry on giving great advice. Its upto others whether they chose to listen or not.
 
The reason I didnt defend you in that post is because I didnt read it, I just saw it as a pointless, trouble stirring post! If you decide to leave due to the disrespect some people have treated you with; well it will be our loss!
 
Hi.I read through someof the stuff that was said, and maybe it was just taken out of context...people can't hear the way you mean it online.
Just be a bit careful next time and hopefully nothing like this will happen again. x

I have no idea what has happend for you to write this post but don't leave HHO. Far from it, if people didn't want advice they wouldn't post on here. I am sure you are not a bully, if you were you wouldn't have written the post.

TBH I had no idea it was about you, not being able to make any real sense of the original posts.

Don't leave, people who are prepared to say what they think are few and far between and should be valued for the courage of their convictions
 
You know what FF - I feel very much the same as you. This place is just the pits right now....your blooming damned if you do and damned if you don't!

I am not leaving however, because I still enjoy speaking to my friends on here and hopefully I can help someone (who wants to be helped) a little with any problems which I have some knowledge of.

I have no idea what is going on - why can some people say what they think...and others are can't? Bullying has absolutely nothing to do with it....not from my perception anyway....and I think it is disgusting that this word is banded so loosely on here by some. They are allowed to verbally accuse you of something and say it in such a matter of fact way? What gives them that authority?

And then there are these muppets....that's what they are.....just muppets; who sit on the sideline with absolutely nothing of value to say about anything...but are quite happy to stir and stir and stir. Is this what HHO has evolved to? Muppets and fluffy pink ponies?

I quite respect you for having the honesty to say your mind and stick to your guns, i have this same respect for Tia, Weezy, KatB, (to name a few who come to my mind..) and many other HHO members who freely speak their mind and will give their honest advice. you display perfect forum behaviour, none of you came across as being 'bullies' or being 'spiteful' (using the FMN post as an example here..) and i believe these are harsh words to be freely thrown across the forums at respected members (or Newbies ) perhaps just because their views contrast to the OP, or infact, whoever. I may not be specifically close online or in RL to you, but i feel i'd miss your sometimes comical and sometimes very useful inputs to the forum. Gabby x

I like this forum because of the breadth of experience and because it is adult and people can say what they think without having to follow the flock. If it was to turn into an oversensitive fluffy teen type forum I wouldn't bother...

..but as usual this will blow over and we will return to normal

Tia, I do not understand why you have taken such a humbridge over this. As far as I am aware (and I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong) all you did was post your advice.

Being one of the more helpful people doesnt give anyone a right to talk DOWN to others.

LMAO!!! Oh my ..... how ironic!! Weren't you just saying something earlier to Weezy about how interesting it is to see those who think you are talking about....trying to make sure it isn't them who is being accused?

At least my accusations were only of ponies and muppets......nothing nearly so serious as accusing people of being bullies.

I was talking generically Katy...although you are one who certainly likes to wield the stick with "bully" flying from the end of it. You didn't actually say who was the bully....but you DID say there were 3 bullies.

I think calling people 'muppets' is only going to lower yourself to the exact same level as the people you are criticising.
As others have said - let it go, FF has not posted any replies so she may well have decided to leave - I hope not, I value her opinion as I do Wheezy and Tia but seriously you all have to move on now.

One of the problems with the pink fluffy pony contingent (hereafter to be known as pfpc) is that they do seem to need their egos bolstering with boring regularity..maybe that is a symptom of youth, or lack of confidence. Maybe that is why they are a bit disproportionate, simply because they post so much.

You could point at me and say that I have posted loads..but it is usually when I have something specific to say and not just because I enjoy seeing my username in print.

I've read the threads in question... From a neutral position (didn't comment on any of them; no issues with any of the posters) can I say that all of the threads were quite confusing? To start with, it was unclear what advice (if any) was being sought, and secondly the original poster varied her description of what exactly was going on with the horse. Thirdly, the original poster was also quite hard to understand due to her grammar & spelling (not a criticism - a fact).

So given an absolute ton of potential for talking at cross purposes, why don't we all open some wine & have a group hug?

Nothing......there are hundreds of horsey forums who have muppets and fluffy pony-people....I choose not to visit those sites because they are filled with this sort of communication. Sorry but I want/need/like something a bit more riveting.
