It's been a tough few days and today has by far been the hardest. We gave him a sedative and he spent 30mins prancing around in typical Andy fashion so needed another. It was very quick and peaceful and I'm glad he had the injection.

Just before he went the red arrows flew over, his very own personal send off.

I'm absolutely heartbroken, he really was one in a million but deserved a dignified end. My vets last words were I'm glad you made the decision on you're own without me pushing you to do it.

My boss came up to take some photos of him. He looks wonderful in them and I'm so glad that my last memories of him are happy and full of it.

Thank you all for your kind words and support it really does mean a lot.

Sorry for massive overload, I really couldn't decide which ones were my favourites.
 
I am heartbroken for you.

He will be pulling some shapes up there, sleep tight Andy.

What wonderful photo's and just the kind of way every horse should be able end their days. The lasting memory for you will be him flying. Very brave and absolutely the right thing to do. Well done. RIP Andy, fly free now.
 
I've not been on here for a while and was shocked to read this, I watched as you battled with his weight and how he was transformed into the beautiful boy in the pictures today. I'm so very sorry for your loss, he was a credit to you. Sleep tight Andy :-(

Beautiful photos. I too have been here with you from the beginning with him. He was a credit to you, such a beautiful boy xx
