Lucky Andy to have someone who loved him so much :) I will miss hearing about him, he was one of my favourite HHO horses.

You did the right thing but I'm so, so sorry that it came to this.
Really is the hardest decision to make, even when it's the right one. There's nothing quite like the feeling of losing them.

Stay strong, he was a real credit to you and you did everything that you possibly could for him. He was a very special little horse and you managed to bring that out in him.

Goodness,an absolutely stunning boy-you must have always been very proud of him. Gorgeous photos to remember him by. My sympathies to you and run free handsome lad:(
 
I've followed your story of Andy from the beginning, never commented as I had nothing helpful to add but I thoroughley enjoyed your journey and was very impressed by how you coped with him and by how much pleasure you both gave each other.

You have made such a brave decision and allowed him to bow out of a life well lived with dignity.

I hope you are coping, rest safe in the knowledge that you will always be grateful for all you did fro him and he will be watching your life with great interest. It does get easier, his memories will last forever.
 
Thank you all, it has been a tough and exhausting day. It sounds horrible but I'm a bit relieved I know longer have to worry constantly about what sort of state he is in and I know he is not in pain and wherever he is he's happy. I miss him a lot and know I'll never forget him as he'll always have a massive space in my heart.
 
What a stunning boy, and as I've said before he was very lucky to be owned by you and that you were able to make such a self less decision for him, massive hugs to you OP :)
 
Heartbrealing, especially with him looking like that, but we all know the issues he had on the inside. Brave lady. Rest up Andy lad xx
