My 5 yr old mare has a really bizarre lump/wart, it's the size of a pin head and looks like a human wart. I can push it and she doesn't flinch or anything, it's just solid and the area around it is quite flakey, wandered if it was Perhaps a grass wart? It's at the lower half of her stomach.

Can't get any pictures of it as lost my camera!!

Any one had anything similar with there horses?

I'm no expert what so ever but could be zarcoids (sp?)
I'd get the vet out asap if I were you :)

Well I originally thought this but she is in no discomfort when I poke/prod it also it is so tiny! I've seen real bad sarcoids before but never minor ones but it's not like the bad sarcoids. Also no blood or puss.

She's due to go to the vets In a month so I'll get it looked at!

:)

Sarcoids come in all shapes and sizes, ooze/no ooze as cuppatea said (Is that you Rowenna?)

But sometimes you can get random skin overgrowth in places.

This is a real old remedy for skin tags but if you tie a cotton thread tight around it, it will drop off in three days.

Disclaimer: having not seen horse, this is not a diagnosis nor is it sound advice - try at your own discretion but if it works let me know I'll patent it :D

Noticed it early jan and so far not changed at all, if it is a sarcoid are there and cheaper treatments? Rather than £120 cream!

Actually another thought- do horses get moles?

:) check up due on it I think!
