Our 12 year old Spaniel has developed sores around both sides of her lips. She did have a visit to the vets some months ago and was prescribed antibiotics which did more or less clear them up. But as soon as she’d finished the course they re-occurred.
I’ve tried wiping with a salt solution several times a day, she’s on a seaweed supplement which is supposed to be good for mouth issues but it’s really not getting any better. The vet talked about surgery to cut out the offending area which I’m really not onboard with due to her age.
If you Google ‘spaniel lip fold dermatitis’ it looks like that.
Any suggestions…thank you
