In Leicestershire it's coming down thick and fast! Left the horses out last night as I knew today was going to be heavy snow , and ended up running up the field at 5am to bring in some snowy ponies! 3 hours later and it's still getting heavier hate the stuff! Easily 4 inches on the ground now.
This is us in Bucks this morning. Thankfully my gout attack is subsiding after four very painful days so i managed to hobble down to the yard (no luxury of opening the back door to our stables at home, lol!)
My mate did the horses this morn so I will go up later and get my horsey snow pics . Got some of my dog though! not had proper snow in Essex for about 5 years so I love it!
As perfect, a husky in the snow
Yours look super happy Ant
That is some stunning scenery MOP!
I've kept mine in today but just turned them out in the school for a couple of hours which caused much excitement - Dabs and Arty were alternating between playing bitey face, who can rear highest and race you there and back... Pebbles was just dodging around Tring not to get caught in the cross fire bless her.
The cat meanwhile hasn't left the house in over 48 hours - we gave in last night and provided him with a litter tray
Pebbles, don't you know Bitey Face is the best game? Dressage cancelled and everything frozen here! Due snow soon. Sky looks full of it... Might manage some nice pics
Can't even get up to mine where I am...thankfully the farm have fed and watered all the horses on top of all their own! Am baking them a cake now to say thanks. So as I'm lacking in horsey pics have a very excited dog instead...
I don't own any horses at the moment unfortunately but here is our snow. It has been snowing since the middle of the night and shows no sign of ceasing.
I would like to make photos smaller but don't know how.
Snow was nice for a day but can now do one. Havent had anymore but its all frozen into a solid ice block meaning no one can come out of the stables as the Hill to turnout is a death trap to attempt to walk a shod horse down. Salt not working and clearing it is impossible without a jack hammer. Fed up.
Gorgeous pictures - dogs, frost protection natives and partying ponies
Snow all a little tedious now, but mustn't be grumpy, so Oh and I went to cut some foliage for Christmas decorations yesterday afternoon (mainly ended up making, um, 'alternative' snow creations). Fortunately the bottom couple of inches of snow is by now very compact so we weren't sinking down to the ground as we walked, but even so the length of our boots seemed suddenly insufficient:
Unapologetic massive photo dump...
She's too photogenic for her own good, this one - and I think she, unlike the others, quite enjoyed the white stuff. Not to mention she really likes posing for the camera...
Alfie the idiot.
Poor Henry: he did NOT want to pose, he wanted to go in! (Yep, rugged stabled Shetland, shock horror, I know)
