OK for the lucky ones going to Badminton this w/e, you're all gonna have a fantastic time and the rest of us are glowing neon green with envy........ BUT for us poor-lings who can't, for whatever reason, go: just wondering what you're all doing?

i.e. anyone going to a good show/event?

or maybe watching it on TV with a full glass in hand and choc's on the table?

OR, mebbe just going for a hack with friends??

I shall aim to go for a nice hack with friend, then chill out and watch it on telly, provided we get decent coverage that is.

Anyone else?

Have organised to meet the guy whose horse trampled me! I haven't seen him since and bless, he's been looking after my horse full time. :) Odd, but I'm looking forward to seeing him. Need some bedding too.

I'm aiming for pony time on the Saturday, have a potential home boarder dog coming for a trial 'away day' on Sunday, and quietly pondering packing the tent up and pootling over to Edale on Sunday afternoon to see if we can find a spare pitch on a campsite - weather dependant :)

Doing a sheepdog and duck demo at steam rally, problem is grass long and rough don't think display going to to well but need to earn so can afford next weeks jump camp!

Going to pick up new wheels for OH on Saturday (sorry can't get excited :o)

stupidly invited friends over for lunch on Sunday weeks ago forgetting it was Badders

XC schooling Monday and then afternoon in front of telly!

I shall be watching it on tv, likely banished to the laptop in the bedroom (unless I can convince a mate that they really want to watch it with me at their house on their tv!). Shall hopefully be trying to squeeze a few nice hacks in if weather allows also

Im off on holiday!!!! :D I fly at 1.30pm on saturday to abu dhabi to see my dad not seen him since xmas!!! Can not wait!! :D Of course ill be up stupidly early to sort ponio out before i have to drive to heathrow! Unfortunatly ill miss badders thou as my dad doesnt have great uk tv coverage!!! On the plus side ill be tanning myself on sunday!!! :D

I'm teaching the RDA pony I look after to hack out.

He was bought with the caveat that he hadn't hacked out for about six years and didn't particularly enjoy it, because he doesn't cope well with new things. However, we need him to be able to at least walk down the lane, so it's going to be a day in hand, lots of treats, and his friends leading the way, then me popping on him.

I'm at my first show of the year on Monday so will spend a fair chunk of time tack cleaning and learning dressage tests!

Day off tomorrow, working sunday, maybe beach on monday with the kids depending on weather :) really wanted to go to badders on sunday but oh wouldn't drive me (as don't like motorways etc) and then I found out I was working :( damn homecare rotas

I had a weekend if electric fencing and trips to the tip planned but have been very ill this week spam wrestling with myself about popping down to badminton and sitting quietly in the stands.......

i can only get excited for Burghley (its too far away!)

its leave out weekend at school so i get to come home for the first time in 4 weeks! so excited to see my family!

but also i have been given a new ride so i will be working with him this weekend and maybe hack over to the beach and meet up with the girl who has my horse on loan and go for a good gallop!

Out with old friends tonight for a much needed catch up, then bathing, tack cleaning and general tarting up ready for Monday which is show day :)

Usual, really. Gardening, hacking, cleaning the house and I have to go into work for one day (not sure which, yet), to feed my cells! Thinking of having a get-together at mine on Sunday and have bought Prosecco as a precautionary measure. :P

Later today I'm off to Leighton Buzzard to see an old uni mate who I havent seen in 18 months and off dressaging on Sunday! :)

Off camping in Borrowdale for a weekend of walking, mountain biking, and wild swimming (if I feel brave enough :p). New boy is arriving Wed, so also will be very excited about that!

ETS: and celebrating turning quarter of a century

Going to be delivering two trailer loads of poo to local gardeners. Would rather be riding (will fit that in at somepoint) but I need the money they'll give me!

Tomorrow im working :(

But sunday im off to the arab racing at Hereford Racecourse followed by some drinks with mates.

Then im assisting with the air cadets at a local show as sadly cannot take my horse as im not fit enough yet, but good side is iv got a new camera and our stall is right next tothe horse rings :)

So looking forward to this weekend.

Busy, busy weekend.

Tomorrow morning we're taking the boy to do some jumping at John Wheeler's (UA), in the afternoon I'll be cleaning and then in the evening eldest daughter is having some friends round to hang/party and a good friend of mine is staying over to help chaperone

Sunday a friend who had her lovely boy pts last week is borrowing my boy for a solo hack (I suspect she will be very emotional, bless her, so he'll probably come back tear-stained). He and his fieldmates will spend the first night in the field this year - and I will be having an early night thanks to previous nights chaperoning :). OH and stepson are due home some time that afternoon from five days having fun in London . . . I may make them make dinner ;).

Monday we're back to Wheeler's in the morning and then we're having a barbecue in the afternoon.

Somewhere in there I will try to find scraps of Badders coverage and endeavour not to feel horrifically jealous of all you HHOers who are actually there.

Go WFP!

P

Saturday: Fencing, and viewers for a trailer and three horses. (I may get away with not doing the fencing!)

Sunday: More viewings. Shame it is just for horses and not for the house :(

I can never find any coverage for Badminton, so just have to do with You Tube clips.

Saturday will be spent trying to learn 4 dressage tests  - two to be ridden on Sunday at a Fell show and 2 on Monday evening at a local RC dressage comp. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up the BBC XC coverage on my phone in between classes on Sun :)

Yesterday I was quite productive and got both ponies out. Spud was flouncy and funny and well up for it, and I trotted by babypony for the first time in the school so I will be grinning like a demon for a while yet:

Today we're off to crew a friend at RAF Cranwell EGB ride. And then tomorrow, who knows.
