So how many horses do you have?

Not enough. :( I only have one little arab gelding now. My mum still has an old family pony too. I don't look after any for work anymore either. I hate it. I like having horse puzzles and challenges to be working on and my arab is really as straightforward as they come.

We have 3, but 1 of which is my mums :)

I have a 13yr old haflinger who I hack do bit of jumping/fun rides with, just generally have fun on & do whatever. I also have a sharer who hacks him at weekends.

Then I have a 5yr old heinz 57 that at the moment is just hacking, but I plan do a bit of everything with him mainly showjumping & XC. Just started having lessons as want to get him ready for next year.

My mum has a 10yr old cob that she just happy hacks & she also has a sharer for him who hacks. I occasionally do a bit of jumping with him, but not very often.

We was debating on taking a 4th one on that is at the yard as lady needs it gone asap due to personal circumstances & wants silly money for him, but I just don't have the time with riding ours & having a small child.

I currently have two which are at home
I have a welsh x Arab who is 2 and a half so he is chilling in the feild before his working life begins.
I also have a new forest x hackney stallion who has just been backed and proving to be a star with the kids. I love him to bits already, not had him that long but considering he is a stallion and only just backed and out hacking he looks after my children better than any others ive had :D
Though he will be loosing his manhood in a few weeks bless him :)

I've got 1, 10 year old ISH called Leo who is a grade B showjumper, with lovely bloodlines :)

im not a showjumper tho, I like doing a bit of everything :)

I have 3! Kinzzy is a traditional cob and I've had her for years now, Teddy is a clyde x cob who is 2 and Khan is our shettie. He looks after Teddy when I ride Kinzzy and he's worth his weight in gold!

We have four, and shares in two TB fillies to be sold in the spring at the sales.
Benjie - he's actually on loan to us, and has been for the last 6yrs! He's 17 and 12.1hh. He's currently a leadrein pony for my little sister(4), so does everything from pony club, dressage and hacking :)
Tank - Had him a year, He's 12 and 14.2hh and he's my horse for eventing and pony club, and he's worth his weight in gold and taught me so much!
Anna - Mum's eventer/Small Hunter. Sh'es 6 and 15.2hh. Complete saint at times, but so stupid at others! I've started riding and competing her in dressage and might start eventing her in the spring.
Minty - had him a week :) He's for my younger sister(13) to start riding again after a year off. He's 14 and 13.3hh and very quiet and well behaved!

I have 7 ponies, ages between 2-20 and heights between 33ins-13.2hh. One is a reg New Forest pony, one is a reg mini Shettie and the others are all part bred natives. I do showing with them :)

I have three (and a half!) at home, all Standardbreds.

Star (Shes Some Deal) has raced for two years and I'm now hunting her and reschooling her as a riding pony. I think after yesterday's amazing performance out hunting we may start learning to jump in the new year :)

I also have Playmate, Star's mother, who is in foal at the moment and spends her days eating and sleeping. She's a gentle old soul and I love having her about the place, grunting when Star gets fed and she gets nothing (she's a fat old goat).

We've also just bought a yearling filly, Daisy (Fresh Ayr) who will be raced in the future.

OH has two Standardbred broodmares (one old girl who's 18, Beachgirl) and a younger borderline neglect case (when he bought her) called Tracey. He bought them after we met and we plan to have our own stud in the future so I class these two girls as mine too :)

Guess that makes five! And two halves, because Tracey is an expectant mother too!

Crikey, how do you manage so many horses??:eek:

We have just moved house and now have our own land, stables and school, it's FANTASTIC being able to keep horses at home :):)

So, of course my lovely grey gelding (TBx Trakehner) a gentle, polite RC allrounder cannot live alone.... hence I now have a full ID gelding, age 5, who is a really fun little horse. Having been a cob snob, I never thought I'd go for ID but he is forward-going, has great paces, jumps much higher than I'll ever want to, and is sane, non-spooky and a character. OOh, this is more about my new boy than numbers.... but I couldn't ever manage more than 2

I have 1 & she is more than enough. We do RC activities & (both) particularly enjoy showjumping & showing :) I find it hard to comprehend how anyone with a demanding full time job could do justice (in terms of care & fitness) with more than one!

Not every horse needs to be out showjumping and showing to have a good life ;)

12 at the moment!
3 broodmares (2 in foal for 2013)
3 weanings
2 yearlings
1 ID hunter
1 IDxTB
1 ready for breaking
1 KWPN stallion

Lots of them are for sale as I am in the possess of retiring due to ill health. Have a heart condition and I cant cope any more.

2 , 1 10yr old highland had him since he was 4 and 1 6yr old Connemara only had him a year.

Highland is out on loan now though so only have one to look after.

Do a bit of everything with the connie trying to decide what to concentrate on did buy him for workers but starting to like showjumping more now. Might give a bit of low level eventing a go as well as he's good over all 3 disciplines see how we get on.

Six, of which four were my fault :p

Roxy - My OHs 7 year old CB

Danny - OH's three year old coloured, bit of TB, bit of Hanoverian and some sort of cobby cow pony. OH has been telling me for ages "no more horses" I went to the Royal Welsh and came home to a new horse he had bought

Meg - OH's yearling Sec D

Ayla - my number one, arab x TB with a smidge of hanoverian

Ellie aka Ginger Witch - Both mine and OH, mostly mine because she is a such an evil cow :D currently away for backing

Tilly - My yearling Sec D

:D

I'm waiting for this or to find one of the non-broodies out with them and an extra foal. Or to find one of mine missing (one of the grumps) and new horse... that's threatened a lot!

I have:
1 TB mare, out on full loan to a lovely lady
1 TB gelding- on loan to another lover lady at our yard
1 ISH type mare on loan to me at same yard as TB gelding

I also have 2 "honorary" horses that belong to one of my dearest friends, I help her care for them as much as I can, 1 is a pony that we had on loan for 8 years, 1 is a TB mare. They live on a farm, that's where any of the other 3 above could go if the need arose. Very lucky to have these wonderful horses and their associated people in my life

4 :)

One 16.2/3 6yo ex racer who is going to start eventing next year hopefully
14yo 16hh ex polo pony field ornament/ expensive lawnmower
11hh 11yo welsh A - occasional lead rein pony for my nephew and companion to my ex racer
2011 tb filly - my baby girl!

2...

Connie 21yo cobx, retired (living like lady muck)!
Mickey 8yo TB - the new boy... currently suffering from whiplash and significant bruising after he chucked me off in some style last week (I'm of the opinion its down to ulcers...) so currently a field ornament until i'm fit enough and confident he's not in any discomfort!

2 Welsh sec D's. Had one 7 years and the other since 4th May :)

done everything with the first one and she is now slowing down a little due to stiffness and just happyhacking. She is my first pony :) The other one I am hoping to also do a bit of everything with i.e. dressage, XC, SJ, cubbing/hunting and anything else that looks fun!
