I wouldn't normally post this, but so few people are posting at the moment so I thought I would share what was going on in my little part of the world.....

Starting with the oldest and smallest of my three..... Milligan my Sec A who has now been outgrown by both my boys but is very devilish and will remain with me till the end of his days. He's now 22 and I have a little posse of girls lined up to ride him, STRICTLY on the lead rein as he is a monster for dropping a shoulder, spinning and dumping his jockeys in the corner of the school. He hasn't done much the past year or so, but now I've got my school I have been loose schooling him for 10-15 minutes a day and it's really brought a smile to his face. :)

Here he is threatening to roll, although I must say that is far preferable to him rolling in the field at the moment! He isn't as fat as he looks - he would make a lovely shag pile rug.

And a couple of him jumping, which he absolutely loves:

Onto my 13.2 Arab x NF Raffles.

The school has again been brilliant for getting him going again. He's 21 now and a whizzy but safe pony. Here he is being lunged over poles which really help as he gets very very excited about jumping:

And here he is with my 10 year old son on board:

Lastly onto Cam who has had a nice winter break and is ready to come back into work. He is 7 this time around. I'm just waiting for the saddler to get back to me as he has suddenly sprouted withers and grown upwards so his saddle needs to be changed from a W fitting to a MW. Once that is done we will get cracking.

Deciding that posing is boring even when there is a lovely rainbow:

Out grazing as the sun is coming up:

Having a hooley! Whoops, where are my legs?

Phew, I found them again!

Posing in his new blingy browband:

Having a lovely sleepy lie in:

And finally today, in the sun shine after a tail wash (I'm very happy with how he is looking in this picture):

What a nice thought to post pics of your little herd. They look lovely and content which is exactly how they should look. We had a good day here today as well for once ... Made the whole world feel like a better place.

Lovely photos...I love your section A!!!!! :)

Thank you - he is the devil incarnate. He even manages to dump jockeys when being led sometimes as well. However, he is a great character, very chatty and always brings a smile to my face. :)

Doesn't it just - the sun puts a smile on everyone's face, even the four legged ones. :)

Lovely lot!

Thanks! :)

Wow Raffie is a completely different colour in the winter! Love love love Cam, especially the rainbow pic and "no legs" and very impressed at Milli's jumping technique - age is clearly just a number ;)

love the no legs pic!

Thanks - just one of those moment in time shots! :)

Agree re Raff - I tend to think he shows his NF blood in the winter and Arab blood in the summer. Cam as you know will always tell you exactly what he thinks about the situation. And as for Mills he can go a lot higher but I just want to build him up gradually being a bit older now. I always have to make sure the jumps are reversible as he has a tendency of going down the line, turning round and coming back up again. :)

Thank you - I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll wander over to look at your thread in a bit. Just trying to warm up after schooling Raffles (the bay roan) - the rain may have stopped by it's an icy wind out there. :)

I want to steal Milligan!!! What a cheeky little face he has.

Just for you here are a few more pictures:

Wearing his Easter bonnet (made by my son):

Being ridden by my younger son a few years ago (I still have hold of the lead rope!):

Looking like butter wouldn't melt - this was after we spent 15 minutes trying to catch him after he decided that he no longer wanted to participate in an in hand veteran showing class! :eek3:

And finally, showing his true colours:

Oh my goodness I can't cope, look how small his ears are! My big grey gelding would love a mini-me accomplice :D

Small ears are very useful for houdini ponies. He's worked out that if he shakes his head up and down enough when he is tied up, eventually the headcollar will slip over one of those small ears, a few more times and the whole headcollar is off. :rolleyes3:
