We survived last night!
Hubby tricked me and made me warm hovis up then go first so i was absolutely bricking myself. The warm up ring was quiet but it was inside and the wind was banging things against it which he didn't like. BUT i tried to stay calm and we were ok.
So then we went in to do the clear round and he was SO good. I rode like an utter muppet, leaning forwards, feet out like a duck coming into land, over leaning, you name it - i was a mess. But he just seemed to say "its ok mum i'll look after you" and round we went. We would have gone clear but i pulled him back accidentally at an upright and he just clipped it with his foot. Other than that we cleared them all!
Hbby then rode him and he went a bit mental! Ran round the 50cm like it wasn't there and had NO brakes. Hubby is much stronger than me in his leg and i think he got a bit excited.
So we let him calm down, had a little walk about for about 20 mins whilst the first class was on then hubby took him in the 65cm class. And he went CLEAR!! He jumped so well I nearly cried with pride. The jump off was a first for him and hubby and they tried a turn that was just too tight and he knocked 2 so 8 faults placing him just outside the rossettes. I was disapointed for them but they both did so well.
Hovis no doubt will tell all about it tomorrow
but he is one tired little boy today.
I am so so proud of my baby boy.
