So the Great Moult Begins!!

Virtually overnight the grey beastie has started moulting! Today everything got cover in grey hairs including me, the tack he is borrowing and the brushes! Even had to re-fill the water bucket on the yard tonight due to stray grey hairs!!

If he is still here next Winter the whole lot is coming off before the moulting begins!

Anyone elses beasties started getting ready for the summer??

Mine are moulting but somehow my grey appears to produce more than the others or may be it just shows up more! Was not helped by my giving her mane its spring trim too.

Yup another grey moulting managed to cover every bit of the floor in about 5 minutes except for the bits where her hooves were

My old grey mare always seemed to have more hair than she was entitled to too. Now I am getting covered in bay hair. How stupid to go to the yard in a fleece!

Your lucky yours has only just started. Mine has been like this for over a month! Haha I have been using the shedding blade everyday and I get enough off to knit a jumper!

What is it about greys? Another one whose every item of clothing and belongings have recently yeti-fied themselves...

Yup, we started last weekend - horse and both dogs.

I always call this the yeti season. Every other day I have to massage Chloe to minimise her itching and stand upstream of Henry, who's been moulting since January (both exmoors). Love this time of year. They've started waiting for me away from the gate, now, too, which means the hedges are producing buds. Huzzah!!!
