OK, certain threads
this weekend have got me thinking....why do I come on HHO? People have been questioning other's motives for posting and I've been thinking about why I post/view....
1. I enjoy reading/looking at photos - don't always/often reply but it doesn't mean I didn't enjoy them;
2. I initially joined to ask for advice when my TB had peritonitis and received a broad spectrum of responses - it is a great place for sharing knowledge. In turn I posted a lengthy update after he recovered so it may be of help to others.
3. I occasionally post comp reports to update on progress/get feedback. Very rarely post pics as I am a 'work in progress' and get direct feedback in my lessons! I am also a lard ass
and don't like viewing my pics (diet also a work in progress!)
4. If I can add some value to a post I will do, e.g. with past experiences etc.
5. I occasionally post pics of my horse/pony as I am really proud of them and think that they are incredibly beautiful
but it typically on pic threads such as 'show me pics of your....'.
I am not the most prolific member on here by a long way but I value and enjoy my time lurking. I do think that you need to have the confidence to know what to listen to and what to ignore if you are going to post. I also try to never post anything to upset people - others have done it to me and it hurts so I wouldn't want to do that to anyone else - and certainly not from the other side of a computer screen.
So, that's a bit about my motivations for being on HHO....be interested to hear others.....
