So what Stable Duties are you dying to do? When weather permits?

I managed to do one of mine, which has been driving me crazy for the last 3 months

At last today I could get into the field, as the wind has dried up the field enough to return from the Field Shelter with a full wheelbarrow, so I have removed his deep litter bed and put new shavings down

So here we are a lovely fluffy white bed for Motor

I am exhausted now, as I had to struggle with the 3 biggest barrow load ever!!

Well I am just looking forward to more daylight hours so I can mooch around with my girl more up the yard.
I have no stable at the moment to perform duties on

Its not yet built.

But I need to have a good rug sort out and wash in the warmer weather

Aww, lucky Motor

I'm itching to paint the tackroom. It's a dark, dingy hole and I want to make it bright and airy! Just need a few days of good weather so we can get everything outside and give it a good clean out first

Spring is definitely in the air - I've already bathed my mare today after she went bouncing round for an hour out hacking this afternoon. Came back in a white lather so it seemed like a good time to get the shampoo out

What won't I do would be a shorter list!!
Can't wait to lay the floors in my shelters. Absolute quagmire inside and out, no stables to take refuge in at night. Sooooooo can't wait to have a firm place to stand other than the road outside the gate (when I can get in and out of it!!!)

I washed her tail on tuesday and fully swept the yard today, I had forgotten how light the concrete under the mud was!!

De-gunge the stables inside & out as they've been used as shelter by my sheep all winter . Ready to bring the ponies off their winter grazing ready for de-fluffing , riding & shows .
Too late for painting stables , I think . Must get it done in November as soon as they're vacated . Where has all the time gone ??????

Bath a very dirty grey mare first, and roll my fields (but need to find a willing farmer to do this first!)

Fencing, clear front yard (been used as a turn out area when the fields been too wet.) dig and roll school. Wash tails and take my baby friesian out for his first hacks.
