Soap's Newbury County Show report - He only went and bloomin' WON!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done to you, your Mum and Soap! You'll need to upgrade the bucket to a basket for Hickstead :p

Can I ask you how the judge rode? Have been told to take Wilberforce-Horse to Lincolnshire county next year for the RoR classes, but he's only tiny and a bit of a wuss so don't want to let a judge get on him who's going to be mean and too big for him because he'll try and hide :o

You can watch him ride in the video on my blog.

I was concerned about how he would cope with a guy riding him because he only really has me on him, in fact he's only ever had 2 other people ride him in 4 years just for a short period of time and they were both female. I was concerned the judge may be a bit heavy and strong for Soap as he's v sensitive, but he went really well for him. I think at that level the judge is pretty savvy and would adjust their riding accordingly to the horse

What a fab report, and an even BETTER result!! Well done! He looks the complete pro in the vid... the jusge looked to ride really nicely, I liked the fact he gave him a pat as he walked off to reassure him :D

Can't wait for your Hickstead report now!!! :D :D :D :D

Congratulations! That is some achievement as those classes arn't easy!

I know you've had an offer of one, but if you happen to get into the showing bug try http://www.poniesonparade.com/ for a browband. She's incredibly flexible with colours and has a huge variety of patterns and rosette styles to chose from. The ones on her site are the very blingy ones, but she made me a nice understated one for my girl.

Best place I know for a custom browband that doesn't completely break the bank.
