Arg why does everything always go wrong *sob*

Ditto a Virus.

May be worth getting some bloods taken, he sounds very similar to how Charlie was when he had a virus. His came on quite Gradually though, not suddenly as Bobs seems to be.

Hope he feels better soon!

He looks like he is thinking about going hunting and looking for hounds even if there aren't any! Some horses get obsessed especially if they don't go regularly enough to get it out of their system. As for the haunted woods, maybe he has seen something that you haven't...I used to live on a haunted farm and our sheepdog used to go crazy sometimes screaming and hurling herself against the door...

True i did joke last week that we were both getting hunting with drawl symptoms as he was charging round the field like a loone and gettign excited if i went near the trailer :P, Do you think i should see how he is in the morning and perhaps go hunting for the first line and see if hes ok?
As for ghosts

he is the sort of horse that would pick up on thigns like that (for example he goes a bit crazy before storms arrive, and the only thign he spooks at is dead things on the side of the road) o dear im gunna be a nervous wreck tomorrow morning in the dark on my own

Well I would make a decision in the morning. If you do take him and he's not right then just take him home. I used to work alone on a haunted yard too so I know how you feel!

He looks like my horse looked after all the sheep and cattle vanished in 2001--he stared and stared into the distance as though he was hoping something would be out there and just could not understand what had happened

Ron does this when he's not talking to me, which generally happens when he thinks i'm with-holding hunting privileges... in fact, he was doing it today as I didn't take him as he's missing a shoe. he knows what day it is and stands and stares at nothing all day.

I would not be worried if he were mine. Bean does this when she has hunted and will do so for several days. She will then react to normal everyday things for a while. Yesterday it was a herd of deer trotting across a field in the distance, she then turned into a jelly when I brought her in. They hear things in the distance too which we don't. If he hasn't got a temperature etc, I would wait a couple of days and see.

BRT, poor bob he's got something in his head hasn't he. Frank is a bit of a lock on sort but has never been like that cally just runs round if the hunt comes past but if they have been past it effects her for days if we dont sedate her on the way.

If the vet was happy to and if he was mine I would consider giving him some sedalin or some other form of sedation to see if he can relax out of it as he does look really tucked up.

Sorry but I probably wouldnt be taking him tommorrow if he was mine if I didnt know what was up.

They are annoying making us worry arent they! *sighs* horses!

Certainly looks like he can hear, sense or smell something doesn't it. Aren't they odd. He could have a bit of a virus but it looks more like he's anxious about something. Hope you get to the bottom of it.

I think he must have seen something in the distance more than once, and its worrying him. Jack does this at times when he sees deer in the copses now the leaves have fallen from the trees and its easier to see them.
Also its dark earlier and many horses are hypervigilant for potential predators in the winter when the nights are longer.
Smells travel better too on the damp cold air of winter.

He is a beauty, I agree!
