Had lesson on Fly on sunday and he was just not right. He jumped like he had never jumped before and was generally 'vacant'. Booked back lady to see him tonight. I hacked him out yesterday and then left him on yard for an hour and a half. When I went back to do evening stables he was standing with his head down. I offered him a carrot and mint and he was not interested. Now that is seriously out of character. I called the vet as was worried about the start of colic and whilst I was waiting for her I led him round for 20 minutes. This seemed to make him feel better. After all the usual tests (temp, rectal exam etc) she could find nothing specific, (made me look a right plonker!). Checked him every hour and he seemed fine although he didn't pass any droppings till 4 hours later. What a worry. Will watch him carefully over next few days and if I am still worried will get bloods checked. Wish he could tell me whats wrong.
