I'll be in the saddle again in the next few weeks
I have loved having the girls living out through the winter...huge field, no poo picking, girls happier than pigs in poo, but this incessant rain has meant that for the past month, the only part of the field the girls have been able to NOT be standing in 3 or more inches of water is when eating hay or standing under shelter. A lovely friend is on a referral only small livery yard and he has two spaces...now mine
Small yard, lovely stables, great all year turn out, indoor school (small but big enough), nice quiet hacking.
So...the girls are currently fluffy mud monsters. My plan when I move is to move early morning, turn them out for the day, then bring them in.
THEN...I am thinking dress up as if I am clipping a million horses, break out the rubber curry comb and go into attack mode...probably need to plug my nostrils so I am not sneezing brown snot for a week!
Oh, just to have hardstanding will be amazing, but to be able to start riding again, knowing my first couple of months roadwork will be away from the lethal roads here is just brilliant.
I don't even care about the 20 minute drive...I may actually get out competing some time this year
That is all...just sharing my excited news
