I'll be in the saddle again in the next few weeks :)

I have loved having the girls living out through the winter...huge field, no poo picking, girls happier than pigs in poo, but this incessant rain has meant that for the past month, the only part of the field the girls have been able to NOT be standing in 3 or more inches of water is when eating hay or standing under shelter. A lovely friend is on a referral only small livery yard and he has two spaces...now mine :)

Small yard, lovely stables, great all year turn out, indoor school (small but big enough), nice quiet hacking.

So...the girls are currently fluffy mud monsters. My plan when I move is to move early morning, turn them out for the day, then bring them in.

THEN...I am thinking dress up as if I am clipping a million horses, break out the rubber curry comb and go into attack mode...probably need to plug my nostrils so I am not sneezing brown snot for a week!

Oh, just to have hardstanding will be amazing, but to be able to start riding again, knowing my first couple of months roadwork will be away from the lethal roads here is just brilliant.

I don't even care about the 20 minute drive...I may actually get out competing some time this year :)

That is all...just sharing my excited news :)

Between Chippenham and Calne. I had plans in order even when I moved to the farm, had a few places lined up so just thought now is as good a time as any :)

not too far then, good thinking to have plans in place, lots of people going to be pooping themselves looking for somewhere, and with so many of them with 5 or more horses they're going to struggle!

Great news, enjoy getting them fit again and have a lovely, successful spring and summer.

I intend to :)

Fly can pretty much come straight back into work, just walking and we can do it without any fear of her famous explosions being on the road as there is a private track going out the back. I have to cross the t's and dot the i's with the owner tomorrow, but I really like the set up and the paddocks are really decent sizes. The private track will be great for Molly as well. I'm really looking forward to just plodding out for a few weeks to get my muscles used to it again. I've only done a total of about 15 minutes riding since my fall, which was May last year and since then, the girls have done nothing.

I was going to send Molly away to be rebacked, but the set up at this place is perfect, so I will probably just do it myself again as have a friend there who is just like me and not at all prone to the kind of panic, flapping, stress behaviour that I had to deal with before.

It will be interesting to see how much in hand walking I will need to do with Fly as she went barefoot at the end of summer but the ground has been really soft (totally waterlogged) for most of the winter.

I am so excited. :) xxx
