Sore Roxie Dog

That’s amazing, trotting already! You made the right call with the surgery, yet it’s always worrying understandably….but I’m so glad and happy for you all!
What’s the rehab plan like?
I’m so pleased we did it. She’s still a bit wobbly and weak but 100x happier.

Crate rest for at least 4 weeks. Back at week 2 for physio and week 4 for a checkup and we’ll go from there.

I’m sure stocking up on fresh chicken to help her during crate rest will keep her pleasantly distracted 😁
Well done for seeing it through so diligently and having best of hope 🫂 Healing vibes flowing to her ✨🤞

All snuggly and comfy for the night ❤️

Once she’s recovered and not on crate rest, I think we will crate her when she’s home alone as we can’t stop her jumping up onto the sofas if we aren’t here.

Does anyone have any recommendations for nice crates that sort of look like furniture?

I’m thinking along the lines of this…

I want to put it in the living room as sort of a very large side table.

We just have a std metal crate like yours, suitable for medium dog (D dog is small at just under 6kg) and its well covered with a board on top with an insulated throw over (its an estate car boot liner) that covers top and all 3 closed sides. I currently have a house plant on the top.
Lined with vet bed from side to side, she has her donut bed at the back, lots of room to stretch out.

So pleased she's doing well and I hope she continues to improve x
