Im very glad it went as well as it could have. It will be a strange time for a few days but you will always have the nice memories <3 kids are so much more resilient and get over things a lot faster than what we probably do, so don't forget to think about yourself too and what you need to help get through a tough time x

I have just caught up with this and it sounds as if it was as good as it could be for all concerned. I am glad you were honest with them. I was told our old dog had gone to live on a farm and worried quietly about him for years until the penny dropped one day. I never forgave my mother for the lie.
