How do you find the clinics that have these? Is there a specific website or is it just looking on the trainer’s own website, or...?

I get a lot from reading people’s lesson reports and clinic reports - I would love to watch some in person.

if tickets are being sold they are usually advertised in the same places as the clinics - I'm booked onto a BD clinic in May where the spectator tickets were advertised alongside ridden spaces. I sometimes see them on FB too if there's a high profile or foreign visiting trainer coming and spectator tickets are available.

Whereabouts are you in the country?

How about yard visits too? Places like Gareth Hughes, and the Moodys etc all do yard visits where you can watch a lot, these are usually advertised on the relevant BD regional pages.

I rely on forums . I learned to ride partly through watching clinics. And even more important learned how one can teach horses. So please do post here.

Just go and watch! I quite often go and watch clinics with top trainers. Free help is rarely turned down either, so helping with poles and then I feel you have earned the right to ask a question! I go to a lot of coaches days despite not being a coach. Probably in a year I will go and watch about 20 clinics and demos. Some I have taken part in, but will arrive early to watch more or stay after. I have learnt so much over the years by watching and the best thing of all is a lot of time its free. You just need to give up the time. I am also an avid watcher of warm ups. Especially showjumping and dressage. Its like a lesson right in front of you at top shows and events.

Education in horses is easy, I find most horse people are happy to share knowledge. You just need to be prepared to grab it and give up the time.

I watch a lot where I train regularly and no one minds. But I know sometimes people aren't comfortable being watched so I understand the OP asking about tickets - the Stephen Clarke lesson I booked in may stipulated there would be spectators and you had to be OK with that when you booked on.

(that's also why I was asking whereabouts you were, OP, because I am always happy to have people watch my lessons - that's if you can get anything out of watching me and my feral welsh and half-tame TB - in return for the odd bit of videoing :p )
