Question in the title really. 😄 I currently feed my very good doer speedibeet to mix her supplements in and plain oat straw chaff. I tried her with a sample of pink mash the other day and she seemed to like it. Are there any benefits of feeding pink mash over speedibeet?

pink mash is 0.5% sugar and less than 4% starch. I love the stuff! Its so useful as a carrier for supplements as a little bit really puffs up. It soaks in a few minutes and everything seems to like it. Its also good for their stomach/hindgut. Mind def had issues when he came but shows no signs anymore now.

Definitely pink mash over speedibeet. It's helped mine gain weight by slowing down her digestion, everything was going through a bit quick!

Pink Mash ? I've never heard of it and have only ever fed Speedibeet before in winter. Can you enlighten me as to Pink Mash and the benefits ? Just curious, really never heard of it .....

I heard about this stuff last week along with their keyplus and thought it sounded great so it's nice to see some positive reviews.
I'm hoping to get some tomorrow for my ribby old TB!

Trouble is, I don't need anything to help her gain weight, she's very good at that already!

Mine was thin when he came and he got huge buckets of pink mash and grass chaff as well as ad lib hay. He put weight on.

Hes been a good weight for 6 months or so now and has maintained well getting 350gms ish a day. Hes a good doer HW cob.

I fed it initally because its good for stomach issues. I feed it now because its negligible calories.

Depends on your horse

I use PM for the pony prone to hind gut issues but now been told to remove it due to IBD but the boy is on it, as speedy beet sends him loopy. It is a good filler with low sugar/starch, good for old horses too as easy to digest and eat.

Need to remember that if your feeding protexin, you could be overdosing as PM has protexin in it, most horses like it even horses pernickety about food will eat it. I use hot water as it makes it ready a bit quicker and boy likes his feed warm. :D

Remember some feed merchants don't sell it so you might need to have a special order brought in

Glad you got his weight up, it sounds like it might be worth a try.
