Firstly may I apologise for only frequenting this forum when I am upset, or angry - I used to post on this under another alias and got to know quite a few peeps.
Sorry I am side tracking, here goes a really horrible thing happened to me today - I make no apologise for my sensitivity but when my daughter of 7 involved I cannot help but get a little emotional.
I went to my first dressage test today and my last, I had to take my daughter on her pony (we hacked) as I had no one else to look after her.
We turned up and an ex livery of mine was there - her mum came and distinctively told me to keep away from the arena when her daughter's horse was in as my daughter's pony would distract him as they had previously been stable mates.
I said I would.
Anyway, having noted her daughters horse was being extremely nappy rerusing to go in the arena when our little pony wasn't in sight I bought our little pony to where the photo booth was far enough from the arena - her horse was napping quite badly but our pony was grazing and they weren't whineying to each other or for that matter acknowledged each other.
Having finished her test and before I was due in the daughter approached us and basically accused me of sabotaging her test, deliberatley putting our pony within sight - setting her up, swearing at us and basically saying what is she (my daughter) doing here as she is not a competitor and shouldnt be here - I checked rule book and no where does it say that if you arn't competing then you shouldn;t be on the yard.
The girl was swearing her head off and an official intervened and told her to stop using such langugage.
This left both myself and my little girl in tears I am not the sort of person to deliberately do such a thing (although I am tempted now..) and her horse was being a sod - which I tried to point out at the time before my pony was in sight. This all got twisted and now people are taking sides I now apparatnely according to the mum said her daughter was a [****] rider - I would never critisice another persons riding.
Sorry to go on and on but I have spent all afternoon in floods - what should I do? make an official complaint to the show? or just leave it - incidentally the horse I now own - they sold after 2 months for being quite sharp now belongs to me = could this be jealousy?? We both had crap marks = mine 50% and hers 47% so a bad day all round.
It was a small show basically a yard show and I cannot believe the unsportmanship of some people - I know it must have been frustrating to have a nappy animal but to blame a 7 year olds pony is the pits - am I in the wrong?
Do I give up dresssage and do I go back compete my daughter who will hopefully thrash hers????
Please some one make me smile xxxx
