(sorry to those who don't have the UK bank holidays!)

what has everyone got planned?

Kira is off to a show *either* tomorrow or Saturday, not sure which yet. I have entries tomorrow but on seeing who the judge is, my blood ran cold so we did a quick back-up entry for another venue... but they haven't confirmed they even HAVE a judge for their FEI level classes yet. So we might have to face the judge of doom after all. *sigh*.
I don't mind getting a bad score if we deserve it, but I really object to negative comments so our fragile confidence at PSG isn't quite ready to take a battering yet :o Hopefully the dressage gods will smile upon us :p

Anyway, that's K, Salty will probably do some local arena hire and then hacking.
Hoping for a rare non-horsey day out at some point with OH to pick our wedding rings... eeep! And a bit of quality time with the retired bay bombshells :)

Have fun everyone, hope the weather is kind :)

Good luck MP and hope fortune smiles on you.

On Sunday am doing an Eventers Derby over the be80 course at Warwick hall. This will help me decide if we are ready to do a proper be80. It’s been about 6 years or more since I did a BE (due to not having a rideable horse) so keep your fingers crossed. Have a nice weekend everyone.

I'm booked on a beach ride, followed by some bareback swimming, which I'm really looking forward to. And it's in Antigua, so no worries about whether the bank holiday weather will revert to type!

A fairly non horsey weekend... ish!

Picking up horsepower of a different kind on Saturday :P yipeeeee

Then helping a friend at Borde Hill BE on Sunday day, followed by an overnighter in lovely local 5* spa hotel. I'm not really a spa kind of person but do love a nice hotel!

Boggle is doing sod all other than likely lapping his field as he's feeling extremely clever at the moment and probably too fit.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that TFF :(

Good luck with K MP, hope you get the backup slot. And hope you find a fabulous ring :D

Fingers crossed it's all coming together Reacher

Pippity that sounds delightful, I don't do holidays really, but I am quite jealous of those plans.

Not much for me, just a lesson on Sunday, buuuuttt, the big man has been feeling good recently so I'm feeling quite merry horse wise currently :biggrin3: we finally have non clunky lateral work in canter the first time of asking this week, and I honestly thought he might never get to that point

Hmm, yes, I have one like that at the moment. She drags the other two with her and while that's fine for the big man, my poor little connemara critter has much shorter legs than the other two and is very bum high atm, so after a frantic 5 minutes of trying to keep up she pulls up in a daze with a nibble of grass her only friend.... Poor girl

Ooh michen what car did you settle on? Will look forward to pics

I hope your confidence remains in tact milliepops

Very jealous pippity - I ride at the beach a lot but never swim as it's bloody freezing water lol

Not much for us - family day on Saturday so will probably hack in the evening and again on Sunday then I have a jump lesson on Monday- gonna ask to work on a grid and increase the heights up a bit.

Hope you get constructive commments at the other venue MP.

Have fun Reacher.

Super jeaous of going bareback swimming with the horse in Antigua, That sounds like a joke answer!! (What are you doing at Christmas? Flying on Santa's sleigh with all the Reindeer!). TOTALLY AWESOME. I hope there are pics!!

Sorry you are feeling gloomy TFF. Boo hiss to box rest and thwarted plans.

Have fun in the spa hotel. I don't much like spas either but do like 5 star luxury occasionally.

I will be schooling, schooling, schooling with a little bit of jumping if I am feeling brave. No outings for a change this weekend.

I got a little black Merc SLK Amg sport thingy! Haven't actually seen it yet but trusting it is what merc Exeter say it is :P Happily got the insurance for 1k in the end, hoping it'll be less next year when I have "real" no claims and am not a filthy ex company car driver!

Would you like mine too and then they can zoom together? :P He'd love you to teach him some dressage!

I had a brilliant XC clinic last Sunday, and son had a lesson on Monday night with new pony, and had pony club on Tuesday with other pony.

Yesterday he jumped new pony at home and achieved the dizzying heights of 70cm (and that was his idea, not me putting them up....)

On Saturday we are having a family day out at the local Country Fair (I love ferrets and hunt chases and all that stuff), Sunday I have a dressage lesson (before RC champs the following weekend) and we both have a lesson on Monday...

No competitions as such, but still busy....

Good luck everyone competing, and hope it doesn't get too hot...

Fiona

We're going there too Fiona! Hubby looking forward to the shooting stuff and I'm looking forward to the equestrian events :D

oooh after years of lurking I can post in here!

Me and my lovely Share Horse are attempting our very first Fun Ride. I've never done one before. Not too sure what to expect but have been reassured it's perfect for people who have wobbly confidence! I'm hoping Share Horse will look after me and I'm going with another lovely person who is going to hold our hands and hooves all the way around!

Sorry to hear that TFF - he did look very smart so am sad that it's not worked out for you.

Hope everyone has fun, and the trip to Antigua sounds amazing! Fairly non horsey for me too - family stuff Sat/Sun but I am off to MKEC for a triple of lessons - flatwork, sj and xc in one day. Two friends are going too and it's a Wobbleberry event so am looking forward to it and hoping to be able to manage my jumping nerves, with the help of my recently started brain training confidence sessions :-)

Sure, the more the merrier. Maybe that's a niche in the market - send your horse on a gallopavanting holiday :p

BD on Saturday. Going to do a novice and my (and horses) first ever Elementary! Am super excited. When I bought him 2 years ago (nearly to the day) I thought we might do the odd prelim, so am a bit overwhelmed that we have come so far. Don't care what score we get, will be happy just to complete it especially as he has had most of the week off after having his back done.
Rest of the weekend is looking pretty quiet, but have a pole work clinic with Matt Hicks to look forward to during the week.

Good luck to everyone competing, and hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend.

I am one of those who will be working through it. Hacking Sat and Sun ....... Not sure if trainer will be schooling on Mon or if i take her hacking instead

Lol, this ^^ :D:D

Well, my back up venue has found a judge, one I haven't ridden in front of before but that's fine, it's better than the alternative:biggrin3: Which also means no jolly trip out tomorrow, but also no annual leave needed. We'll face up to the judge of doom next time

Does the judge of doom not like small pink ponies?

I'm going XC schooling at Sapey on Saturday :) :) If they don't change their mind with all the rain forecast between now and then....

Jensen is going to jump the 80cm trakehner if it is the last thing we ever do :p I might of course be misjudging him and it will be fine - I really hope so, because I refuse to add to my current tally of bruises and sore bits :p

please don't make it the last thing, contrary to what you think we'd rather have you back on sunday!

and yes, please don't bash the arm!

Crikey I haven't even managed to report on last weekend yet :eek3: No plans, I'm still recovering!

Sorry things are going well with ponies at the moment, TFF :( Fingers crossed things get better soon.

Good luck with the less evil judge MP! Wretched pony-ists.

Lots of exciting plans for people :D

Awww thank you :) of course Sod’s law says that now I’ve mentioned that one fence, he will jump that fine and will be overwhelmed and horrified at a different and totally unexpected fence :D :D
