Just posting on behalf of a friend..as their springer is 7 years young they wanted to have a companion for it before it is too old to add a second dog also to lessen the inevitable when the time comes. They do not want a pup as there are enough homes available for pups, but were hoping to find a bitch say 16months to 4 years? They live on a 2000 acre farm estate and have a little girl so as long as it is good with/used to children, they are pretty much open to all sorts of rehoming reasons. They have been looking at preloved and for ads free to a good home (which it is) but would be happy to pay a sensible price for the right dog. Papers are not essential and its fine also if the current home is not coping because the dog is too much to cope with as they are more than used to the breed. It will be a home for life and they are lovely people so it will be a happy ending for one dog.... I'm just posting on the off chance anyone on here knows of something that needs a good forever home. He does work his springer but a working bitch is not essential...does not even matter if it is well trained, they are very easy going when it comes to most problem solving so just putting some feelers out....thank you

) anyway so that along with the no-child policies made them want to buy/find a dog (bitch) that may otherwise face an uncertain future...I've been trawling the rescues tho just incase any pop up & have a more relaxed policy on kids-they have even offered to sign a disclaimer but rescues just not having it...some rescues were far too precious saving dogs to give good homes a look in-I can assure you this home would be any dogs dream...they were still advertising the dogs months later-I can understand it from both sides totally but it happened to me too so I do understand...I'm home/with horses all day & work from home so when I was looking, you would be soo surprised how many rescues still said this would not be good enough but happily rehomed to people who I knwo leave the dog out side in all weather for 8 hours while they work...but thats a whole other rant!! very gratefull tho for any snippets (not whippets!) that may help us find..even has own rabbits ready & waiting at their home!;-)xxx
They have been rejected because of their daughter by EVERY rescue.
