Bit of a fun thread. I've had my big (17.2hh) bay Selle Francais horse for a fortnight now and I can't keep calling him 'my bot' forever. I'm in need of a stable name for him, pref French inspired. He's a show jumper and very chilled to ride but a beggar in the stable. Hmmm any ideas?! If someone comes up with a fab name and I pick it there will be a prize lol. God knows what yet, online saddlery voucher for a tenner or something lol :)

How about Daft Punk? French electo dance music duo, and a very cool name! I was torn between this and another name for my youngster. x

Herbet
Harvey
Connor
Bailey
Reece
Jaque
Claude
Franklin
Heversham
Theo
Alvin
Oscar
Guy (cos you got him in November)
Hugh (cos he is big as in huge)

Ok think I'm out of names now lol

Iago (as in the grumpy bird from Aladdin who is actually quite willing once doing a job)

Taro (the name of a cartoon train who is grumpy but hard working)

Stanley (another similar temperament character from TV), although personally I dislike human names for horses you may like them.

Gerard was an option me and my friend came up with thismorning after discussing a rather strangely sexy actor with a big nose! I keep thinking of the football player tho which is annoying

how about eric or cantona, the french footballer who bashed up an insulting spectator and then diffused the press conference with talk of 'sardines in the sea' love that bloke!

how about etranger, pronounced traan-je, it means foreigner, or baguette, or l'escargot, snail!!!! happy christmas
