My 5year old 16.2hh tb is going swamp surfing everyday coming in up to her shoulders and over her hocks in thick mud everyday. Grass is very low at my livery yard at the mo so she is obviously going into swamp to find it.
Her feet are dry and cracking after lots of work on my part with hoof moisturisers. She is loosing shoes at about 4-6 a week since the mud dipping started obviously this is no good for her feet and is expensive for me, barefoot is not an option.
She's very hungry but holding weight well.
Am I going to blow her brains keeping her in for a few days until horses move fields next week.
A exercise and feed routine would be great I really can't risk injury with her as her training is coming so well she was started late and is now going fab and don't want any set backs
