Can't stand them.

I also don't think they're good for the saddle leather either, and some manufacturers are against their use, but I don't know if anyone has actually had any problems other than cosmetic marks.

I recently bought some Horseware tights with microfiber knee patch and far prefer those. My others are all Pikeur McCrown, but I think I prefer just a plain 'ol knee patch. Especially in the hot weather.

I don't like being stuck to my saddle.

i don't mind the pikeur ones, as they aren't aggressively sticky, more textured than anything after a couple of wears. i mainly ride in tights with just sticky knees. Gives me a bit more of a chance when horse goes teleporting but don't fix you down.

I prefer something on my riding tights as otherwise they feel slippier than old fashioned jodhs, but more texture than sticky if that makes sense. I used to ride in an acavello gel out seat saver for hacking (largely for comfort!) but had to take it off for jumping as it made getting out of the saddle difficult!

Restarted with, to help aged legs. Quickly learned they interfered with seat massively. Have ditched completely, for non-sticky knee-patches only. Desperate for more knee-patch brands!

I'm not a fan of them.

Not so much the stickiness per se but on a long hack especially, I just find them uncomfortable due to the uneven pressure.

I might just be a bit princess and pea though ?

Quite unnecessary in my view. Correct stirrup leather length, sit up and control oneself and one's horse with one's core and balance.
But I'm a irritable old bat who was brought up in the classical school of riding . . .

Dislike, but I do have a couple of pairs, because in old saddle I needed the help they gave.
Small pony, that can give a good buck. Saddle was old, very smooth and no knee rolls whatsoever. So the stickies were a necessary evil.
Now have a new custom saddle, lovely soft leather and thigh blocks so I have no need to wear them anymore riding that pony.

Absolutely hate them. Full suede seat only for me.

Hate the idea of being ‘stuck’ in place. I always taught to ride well, you need to be able to move…

Ok, seems a few here dont like them.
My 3 local tack shops do not sell any brand that doesn't have 'sticky' somewhere, whether bum or knees or both. According to all, there is absolutely NO CALL for non sticky breeches, 2 of these emporiums are also feed stores that also sell lots of other stuff inc bridles with only flashes etc.
However, the 3rd one is a half decent shop. They just shake their heads at older potential purchasers, saying not available or no call for them.
Having done a quick poll at RC camp last week, 16 out of 20 would prefer non sticky!

I have to rely on buying on line these days, pah!

I hate the ones that are kind of hard and glisten-ey, they wear off, peel, mark the saddle, and make uneven pressure.

I LOVE my Anky ones. the print has stayed, is level with the fabric, is just the right amount of grip, is great at not marking even calf skin saddles. I have honestly lived in them for a year, plus they have 2 proper sized phone pockets too. You can still move in the saddle, still dismount with ease, they just make the right amount of contact with the saddle. The waistband is high and supportive too.

They were £100 though.
