i do have the extra monie to repair it BUT i guess i might aswell spend it on a better trailer or horsebox!
oooo

i like the white 510 from staffs and the blue 505 from cheshire i think i might take a road trip with (colin mec) so if i buy he can tow home...

yeah iv checked both, i had an email from someone else about a question i asked about a bedford lorry... and that was it nothing else...

i have tryed but ebay said its too bloody early i dont want them to contact me now i want to look for a better one after everyones advice!

Don't go and spend your money on something else yet! You have made a contract to buy the trailer on Ebay

How many days has it been since you won it?

Have you read Ebay's policies in not going ahead with a purchase? I haven't read it, but if the trailer is not as reasonably as described when you see it, then you should be able to say the contract is void.

It ended at/on 27-Dec-08 18:27:17 GMT
im abit confused with some peoples posts sayin its ok to withdraw and some others saying i cant ...

I agree. I personally would not withdraw the bid. Wait until they contact you. You will then be in a position to say that as they hadnt contacted you within however many hours you assumed they didnt want to sell it and have found something else. They cant do much about it really. They can file a dispute or offer it to the next bidder.

It is a while now since I ebayed regularly and tbh I am a bit out of touch with the rules. I will try to find out a bit more if possible from some friends who buy and sell on ebay all the time.

Just dont do anything yet.

oh ok then, but so if i go to staffs tomorrow or wed and buy something and once they do contact me just say what you basicly just said found something else
i dont really normaly use ebay so wont be that much of a loss i spose!

Isn't it slightly double standards to say earlier that they HAD TO SELL IT BY LAW to you, as they had sold it, but then try to pull out of your own buying contract?

- I'd be wary as they'll only leave you with neg feedback (although I guess new rules stop that, but they can appeal it and you could lose money) warning sellers not to sell to you.

Ebay said it was too early for a reason. It doesn't matter if you've had "second thoughts" about the trailer - if thats the case you shouldn't have bought it in the first place.

jesus bit blunt arnt you....
I KNOW THAT NOW!!!
after everyones advice i am having second thoughts iv only been using ebay to look at horseboxes iv only ever brought 2 cds from them...
if they get in contact with me then ok i will go and collect but if not then all in favor for me

Let me try to find out!

They should have contacted you by now. When I sold on ebay I invoiced immediately. It is different if you are selling lots of items but just the one? You invoice within 24 hours. If you are going to be away, you state it in the ad.

i know i think its abit stange its so annoying as i would like to know what the hell is going on....
is there any way of checking when they was last online i want to know if there ignoring me or not

well if you get bad feed back you could always re register on ebay with a clean slate =)
you havn't signed anything to say you must buy it. so you can give your money to who ever you like!
laugh.gif

i like the way you think....
oh i dont know what to do still waiting for bloody colin to call me so i will have a answer soon, if they dont answer i aint buying oh i dont care if i get bad feedback i just wont buy off there again after i got a box i dont use it..

Stop worrying so much

It's only ebay and if you don't buy much on there anyway what's the big deal? If you don't want the trailer don't buy it. You've got no legal obligation to buy that would stand up in any court of law. People pull out of deals to buy stuff all the time - I've accepted offers on houses I've been selling loads of times, only for the buyer to pull out later on. Bit crappy but just how things are.

Email them - tell them you've changed your mind and go find a trailer that you actually want.

Ah come on - you are climbing the walls!! Give them a call yourself and see where you are at with the auction

You can also try a direct email to their email address and request a read receipt and delivery receipt (you need outlook to do this, although some web based ones can do this)

I wouldn't worry as its a busy time of year and unless you are chomping at the bit to buy another trailer what's the rush?

You cannot cancel your bid, but you could agree to mutually cancel the auction with the seller which is best method. If you just don't pay you get a non-paying bidder strike which will count against you (its 3 and out on eBay)

Wonder is the seller has worked out eBay will want around 5% or £75 for selling the trailer!!

Will you be paying cash on collection?

I would.

So contact the seller and say you want to bring the money round and check the trailer over before you hand over the cash. if it's not as described then you're quite within your rights to say you don't want it.

There's no way I would consider bidding on something this big and important without having been to see it first - but that's just me.

Send them an email and state you'd like a reply by 'X' date, and if they don't, then tell them you're giving up on their trailer.

Have spoken to my friend. Not good news I'm afraid. It is legally binding apparently. There is no cut off for invoicing. But I would say it is fair to give 7 days.

Essentially the buyer could demand the listing fees.
Ebay could demand the commission.
Ebay could strike you off.

Which is why you dont pull out if possible. Let the seller pull out. Or as someone else has said, mutually agree to not go through with the purchase.

I'm sorry but I really don't think it is right for you to pull out of the sale because you have changed your mind.

Imagine if someone had posted here that they had a trailer for sale on e-bay, it was open to inspection but the bidder did not come to see it, the bidder won the auction, the seller did not reply for less than 48 hours in the middle of the Christmas holidays and the buyer pulled out! They would call you a time-waster.

I appreciate that you are really desperate to buy transport, but a number of people have warned you in numerous posts about buying unseen, you could be buying a death trap, and also said that if you pay very little money you are likely to buy very crappy goods.

right iv called them, they said there internet isnt working..... and then said "will go check it now and get back to you" urm if there internet is not working then how can they go check it now????
giving them an hour to email or call me then calling back then if they dont want to sell it at that price will agree to withdraw..

if we do go to collect then will look thru it (my mec is coming with me) if its not as stated then im going to not buy give them the bloody £75 and tell them to stick it up there arse..
