Hey,
My pony has developed some sores, one on his withers and one either side on each shoulder they are about 7 inches by 4 inches and the one on his withers is only and inch squared. I am not sure how he has got there's i have been through everything i can think of.
1) He hasnt had any different food, he has been on the same for years same as with his suppliments.
2) He is wearing all the same rugs that he wears every year, that havent rubbed as no grease or hair is on his rugs.
3) It's all washed in the same washing powder.
4) It's not from his saddle because i hadnt used his saddle near the time these developed.
5) He's not on any kind of different bedding.
6) He's not with any different horses.
7) He's not been washed in anything different.
8) I dont leave dirt, sweat, sand etc on his body.
So i dont know what this could be from the only thing i can think of, Is he is normaly clipped each year just a blanket clip which leaves the hair were his sores are but this year he hasnt been clipped out because he is still recovering so im thinking maybe because he has all of his hair still and is being worked a little that maybe he's getting to hot and it's making sores ?
Any other ideas about this would be brilliant as i cant think of anything else.
Thankyou
