A really long stubble field has appeared beside our yard. It must be 10 miles long...............................

Well perhaps not that long,

but Yeee Haaa!!! Anyway!!

We have got stubble everywhere this year, had it for just over a week now...only problem is getting Cropi to walk on it! she sets hoof on stubble and just wants to go!! Made her walk and trot on it today, trot was very quick!!!!

We had loads last weekend, but they ploughed them up within a week this year!

We went on one last weekend immediately as the machinery left, and its ploughed already

. Hoping some more will develop and they will leave them a bit longer!

They are getting ever closer with the combines - the 100 acre field should get its turn soon......

yay!! We have acres of stubble the farmers don't mind us riding on, a few weeks of bliss with new tracks and some nice canters on our doorstep!

stubble everywhere here!! hence one very over excited horse and very happy me!! nothing better than time off from schooling with a liberating gallop with wind rushing past you-absolute bliss!!

I miss being able to canter across the stubble :-( so does my semi retired endurance mare :-(
We make do with lots of grassy fields at home instead

we've got a stubble field next to the stables and plenty more over the road. Having a great time in them.

We have exactly the same problem around here Natallie - all the fields seem to be ploughed within a wekk of being cut. So sad as "stubble" time is always my favourite time of year

Our yard is a working farm...they cut the fields and leave em for several weeks for us to have a blast.....
