ive always been taught to use the stud that i need (like a grass tip stud) on the outside of the shoe for grip, then a blunt road stud or similar on the inside of the shoe so that the foot is LEVEL and to prevent injury etc. It seems loads of people only have one stud on the outside of the foot and nothing on the inside, surely this cant be very good for the horses joints as the foot would be completely wonky on the ground! It would be asking for lameness if i did that on my horse! Is this normal or correct? im confused lol.
