Stupid bradoon/snaffle on a double bridle question

I ride in a Neue Schule Slimma show pelham when showing and my horse goes super in it so no issues there - I'm curious to see how he would go in a proper double set up though so my question is a bit stupid... I've borrowed a Weymouth from a friend and I have a snaffle he goes well in, can I just try the snaffle or should I get a proper bradoon? I understand the only difference is the ring size (or am I totally wrong??) But I cant find a bradoon snaffle I think he will like, generally they seem to be single jointed - any of the double jointed mouthpieces are more expensive so I dont want to run out and buy one just for trying it out.

Is there something I'm not thinking of or should I just try it?

you can just use your normal snaffle.
often the mouthpieces are slightly thinner on proper bradoons but most horses can accept a normal snaffle, unless you're using something really chunky.

I use a french link bradoon at the moment, previous horse had a KK ultra... when you're sure what you need then they are out there but as you say, more ££ than the cheap single jointed bradons.

Thank you very much for the reply - I honestly wasnt sure if I wasnt thinking of something or if I should just try it! His snaffle isnt too chunky so should work okay & then I can keep an eye out something suitable.

I've been using Fager bits recently with great success and they have a bradoon version of my snaffle aswell but its €95!!! I'd want to sure I want to use it or else I might just stick to my Neue Schule show pelham, which wasnt fecking cheap either :p horse literally has expensive taste!
