Haha! Just logged on to see times for dressage on Friday. See at least one other HHOer is entered ;) along with the rest of the world - 24 in each Novice!

Blinking class finishes with Charlotte Dujardin on MSJ VIP. Think we'll be a tad out classed...Me and my great ideas :D:D:D

Erm well dressage is about improving your score from the last one, and its all experiance ;), would love to see her ride she can't be in your section can she?

haha

All good points. No, she's in gold and I'm Novice silver, phew! No chance of any prize money this time out though! :D :D

Coooool. One of the things I really like about equestrian sports like this is a (relative) amateur rider can compete against Olympic riders. Now I realise that doesn't make it very competitive maybe, but how fab to be able to do that.

And yes, you are right, I agree with this and I liked competing against the pros when I was eventing too.
Does make the warm up a little daunting though... especially as my pony seems to view cantering sideways out of control as an appropriate warm up technique at the venue in question ;)

Just got back from Summerhouse. Weather was Beautiful. Dujardin's horse seems to have some sideway gears...I suppose they did earn their medals...:eek3:
:)

Haha me too! Couldn't stay for too long so didn't see loads of Charlotte, and I think I managed to miss all of the HHO peeps! So glad I didn't enter, stiff competition lol ;) Hope everyone competing enjoyed their day!!

lovely pictures, I think it's fab you can go out for a normal class and end up sharing a warm up with the big guys. Not quite Olympic but we get the mount St. John stud out in our area and I could seriously just watch them in action and warming up all day, we were in a couple of novice classes with one of their 4 year olds, not entirely sure what that horse must have thought as my fell pony trotted past it in the warm up but it made me sit up a bit straighter and kick on that's for sure!

Aw thanks! Yep I did - shooting into the sun though which is always fun lol :p Such a gorgeous little horse.
