Hallo2012

of course as it was show day, and young horse show day......it piss poured from the second I started to tack up.......I was desperately in need of new show whites before Fri but they are 100% dead now!!!!!
thankfully the midget is weather proof and more or less cracked on bar a sassy circle and 1 kung fu canter!
For the third year running he was paired with a mare, and a much bigger moving one so we were hopelessly left behind by the end of the first serpentine, which meant that i was trying to FWLR on a half circle whilst the other pony stormed down the long side behind me in medium canter, change the rein whilst she was circling away from me, and make my 10m canter circle more like 7m to avoid cutting her up..............a test of navigation as much as dressage!
golden balls kept his mind fully on the job at hand however and never even eyeballed her as we zig zagged past each other and it all felt pretty sweet.....except shoulder in left which was dreadful lol!!! despite that minor crooked potatoe issue M61 doesnt feel a million miles off which is exciting
chuffed with 7.12 and a win so off to Young Horse Champs for the third and final year (as no 7yo class for ponies) he loves a big party and i believe he is the only pure bred native to have qualified as a 4,5 AND 6yo so he's already won in my eyes.
Cotton eyed Joe we are ready for you!!!
